Annabeth's POV

"We have to cover her eyes!" I shout as our battle truly begins

I looked around the room, my head whipping around, and around, searching. I couldn't help but notice that the room was tall. Taller then I recalled it being. I couldn't help but wonder, did it grow with the witch? Is it somehow connected to her?

Focus Annabeth, Focus. I thought. I continued searching, but I couldn't see anything useful. Peppermint, skittles, candy cane, liquorice. Nothing! Nothing in the house was big enough to cover her eyes. There has to be something! I silently pleaded for the others to help looking. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Miranda lunge towards the table, possibly the one with our weapons on it. What are weapons going to do, if she can just magically knock us out again?! I wanted to scream. Other than Miranda, everyone was just standing there, staring at the witch, bewildered expressions on all of their faces. Why was Miranda the only one doing anything? All the others had training, experience, yet they weren't doing anything!

I looked to where Miranda was a second ago, but I she wasn't there anymore. Instead of searching for her, I continued to scan the room, until Piper gasped beside me. I looked up, just in time to see Miranda take a flying leap towards the witch. She landed, catlike, on top of the witch, and she grasped at her robes, balancing precariously on the witches shoulders. A look of panic crossed her face as her arms flailed, and she almost went flying off the witch's back. At the last second, a force seemed to push her back up, and I saw Jason, eyes widened in shock.

Now balanced, Miranda held up her weapon, and started to move it around. I couldn't see what she was doing, and she tried yelling something. It was lost in the chaos of the room, and I couldn't make out what she was trying to say. Instead, Miranda opted to role her eyes, then point at the witch's robes, then her eyes. Immediately, I understood the message she was trying to convey, and piper seemed to realize what she meant at the same time.

"We have to cut off a piece of the witch's robe to cover her eyes!" Piper yelled.

Immediately, as if Piper's voice had flipped some invisible switch in all of their heads, everyone had either lunged at the witch or for their weapons. Soon, all of us were trying to dodge the witch's hands and trying to get a piece of fabric big enough to cover her eyes. It was difficult with my dagger because of the small reach, but there was no was I was giving up. I kept trying, but I just couldn't get close enough.

Instead, I took a step back. I surveyed the situation and analyzed it, like a daughter of Athena should. What I saw was that the only seeming to have any success was Miranda. Her weapon seemed to have longest reach, and, now that I was closer, I could make it out a little better. It seemed to be an axe of some type. Even with her ave though, Miranda wasn't getting very far. The witch kept trying to shake her off her back, and Miranda spent more time trying not to fall off, then cutting her robes. I could feel the effects of the witch's eyes beginning to take effect, and I knew we needed to be quicker. We needed a plan.

"Piper, Jason, Leo, Percy, keep her busy! Keep her off of us" I yelled, hoping to gain the rest of us more time.

They seemed to understand what I meant, because, soon, Leo took Miranda's place on the witches head, and was throwing fireballs in her eyes as she wailed and swatted at him. Piper was sitting on the witch's shoulder, yelling different commands in her ear, which, although they only seemed to faze her for a second, gathered Percy and Jason enough time and confusion to stab her stomach, over and over again. Except every time they slid their blades away from her, all of her wounds would close up immediately, and she would grow a little taller.
