The Start of the Third Test

LAYNES P.O.V.

Infinity is nervous, he will loose all of his fire power if he makes another ring.

Sometimes he staggers, and hits his foot against rocks.

I dont really know how he made up his mind, but I know Kaleb is exited, his smiles is wicked big.

I don't know how he's gonna get the tools to make a ring,

We walked, walked and walked, it seemed like a million years when Infinity finally stopped us.

"Hold up! This is where we find some obsidian, I'm gonna need 3 inches thick, new commander of Astrapes can blast it from the bigger rocks"

Kaleb rubbed his hands together and his hands sparked "my specielty, shocking things"

"I would do it myself, but it would take me longer to gain more strength to call on fire to be released"

Kaleb rolled his eyes like Infiniyy was lazy "where do I find a big obsidian rock"

"Its a volcano for alphas sake, "

Then Kaleb walked off, not in a hurry though, he looked over his shoulder to watch Infinity, makeing sure if he would make any fast moves.

Infinity turned to me fast when Kaleb was lost behind some boulders.

"Did you figure out the way, or the key?"

I shake my head "why cant you just tell me...?"

"I didn't give you that dream, I knew you have been having dreams, some of them have hints you don't even know about, and if I help you on the twins test, I would be back in that hell, back with those snake chains"

"I thought you could control metal?"

"I can, that's what I was trying to do, but every time I tried I lost my breath as the chains squized tighter"

Then I heard a loud, VZZZZZZ! then an explosion of debris.

Infinity didn't twitch but I looked around, then another, VZZZZZZ! and more explosions of debris.

"That must be Kaleb"

Infinity grunts but keeps talkeing to me "if you don't know the way, or the key, you wont find Kalebs parents, your brother, or your way out"

I sigh and look down at my feet.

VZZZZZ!..........VZZZZZZ!!!

"Lets go" said Infinity "we need to find the other things"

He starts walking the way we came, but I don't hesitate.

Infinity's meaty hands qlinched closed, then open.

Open, close, open, close.

We walked past the cave and I seen Jane at the mouth, watching us,

I waved at her, then she waved back.

She tried to shout, I heard her shouting but couldn't make out what she was trying to say exactly.

We walked about one or two million more years until we came upon red moss growing on the rocks.

"Uh...what's that" I point,

"That, is what I call forte moss, but people with power cant touch it, only mortals " he turns to me, head only "have you seen the movie 'Lobster Tale'"

I do, my brother use to watch it constantly.

"Don't tell me you like it?"

He looks at me funny "no, of course not I was forced in my cell to watch mortal shows, such horoble acters!!! But any ways, that movie is about maricale moss, right?"
