Chapter 12

Alvia's POV

"Sniff sniff hwaaa"

A little girl hugging her knees and crying in the dark. Alone in the dark she's too afraid to move.

"Okaa-san.." [Mommy..] she says in her sobbing voice

"Alv!" someone's calling. Hearing a voice she looks up and look around. The foot steps is coming nearer. She sees nothing. Thinking it might be a ghost she starts to cry again

"Shinpaishinaide, watashi wa ima koko ni iru yo," [Don't worry, I'm here now] says that someone in a gentle voice. It's a boy's voice. He puts his arm around her neck, hugging her from behind. Making her feels safe. She stops crying

"Nokoshite inai .." [Don't leave ..]

I open my eyes. Another dream .. A strange one. Who was that? I rub my eyes and realize that I'm crying in my sleep. I look at the clock and it's 9 pm already. Looks like I fell asleep after taking a shower. Going out with Amy can be pretty tiring, but it's worthwhile. She's funny eventhough she loves to pick on me.Speaking of going out, it's been a weeksince the last time I'm with Rylie-san. She never call me. We only meet in class and sometimes in the hall way. But it's only greeting and smile. I really miss her.

I pick my white teddy bear and stare at its cute face. I call him Bearry

"Hey, Bearry. Why do you think she doesn't call me?" I say

"Well, what do you expect? A teacher calling their student. It doesn't sound pretty," I answer mimicking another voice

"Do you .. think by any chance, she would like me?" I ask again

"As her student, yes!"

I feel stupid now for talking with my doll

"Is the princess talking by herself again now?" says someone making me jump. I turn my heaad and see a young man standing by my door

"Minami-kun! You should've knocked first!" I say

"You left it open," he giggles. I blush at his words, especially when he hears my talking. Did he really hear it?

"Well, what do you want?" I say again

"It's past your dinner's time but you never came down so I decided to bring it to your room," he answers. Now he mentions it, I can feel my stomach's growling.

"Hontou ni? Sugoii!!" [Really? Great!!] I say cheerfully. He begins to prepare the food and puts it on a small table on my laps. He cooked a beef steaks.

"Itadakimasuuuu!" [Let's eaaaat!]

I begin to cut the meat and eat it. He cooked really well. It's so soft, "Oishii, Minami-kun" [It tastes good, Minami-kun]

"Eat slowly, Aru-chan" he chuckles

"Have you .. and the others eat already?" I ask

"I'm after this and the others are eating right now," he replies. I just nod at him

It's so quiet here. I can hear the clock's ticking and the sound from my clacking knife

"It's so lonely here," I say in a low voice

"It is,"

"If ... only I have a brother or sister .." My heart hurts when I say it. Reminds me of mom and dad that rarely home

I eat the last piece of meat and put the fork along with the knife on the plate. I drink my avocado juice and say thank you to him. He cleans up the plate and walk to the door

"Oyasumi, Aru-chan" [Sleep well, Aru-chan] he says

"Oyasumi," I reply

"Aru-chan .." he says again before closing the door

"Haii?" [Yes?]

"Gomen ne .." [I'm sorry ..] he says and leaves

"Nani?" [What?] I furrow my eyebrows, confused at his words. What was that for?
