Alvia's POV

"Whoa, calm down there," Finn said while I tried to ease my cough. I cleaned the mess that I had made with a tissue "What did you say?" I asked again to confirm it

"Well.. ya know, are you like, dating Ms. Shevlin?" he said nervously

I arched my eyebrows "No."

"Oh, okay"

We began to look away, keeping ourself busy. Awkward silence filled the air. I looked sharply to him and squinted my eyes. He only glanced once and cleared his throat. Something's fishy here. Curiosity got the best of me.

"Why would you ask that?" my voice broke the ice

"Well, uh, there's a rumour going around  that you date Ms. Shevlin. Cause you two are extremely close that even had lunch together and fed each other," he explained. No way. How did he know that? Does the whole school know now? Heat crept to my cheeks and I felt myself blushing.

I crossed my arms on the table and leaned forward "Do you believe that?"

With that said he went quiet and raised his eyebrow, seeming to think about it, and then he smiled "Not really," I sighed in relief. I admitted I liked her and the thought that we looked like a couple made me a bit happy. But, what would Ms. Shevlin think if she heard this? I didn't think she would be amused.

"Alvie!" A voice got me back to reality. I looked up and searched who it was. I saw Amy speed-walked towards us, her bag slouched on her shoulder and when she reached where we were, sitting between us she dumped her bag beneath the chair and kissed my cheek.

"Where have you been?" I asked

"Just hanging around," she took a sip of my juice and then looked at Finn who was looking straight at her, "Did I interrupt you guys?" she asked dumb-founded

"No, you're getting it wrong" I knew what she was thinking "We were just talking. He's Finn, my classmate. Finn, Amy" I introduced them

"Haha okay, nice to meet you," Amy nodded "So , what were you talking about?"

I shrugged, "Just a gossip." Finn replied

"Is it your gossip?" she looked at me, "It is not my gossip," I rolled my eyes, emphasizing the word 'not'

"Well, it's about you," Amy laughed teasing me "It's okay though if you date her. I can keep a secret!" she added again and winked

"Really??" my face lit up and she grinned widely. By that time, I realized I had fell into her trap. "Your reactions say it all," she said playfully

"Noooo, we're not. Really." I denied it

"But... You do like her, don't you?" she grinned, not wanting to give up. "That's hot," Finn stated, wagging her hand as if the weather were really hot. I smacked his arm. "Stop asking, it's not working" I pouted

"Well, we'll definitely support you," Amy said pulling Finn's neck by hand "Right?" she asked him for a confirmation. "Definitely," Finn grinned in agreement. I couldn't contain my laughter seeing them. I loved how Amy quickly got along with people, even with someone she just knew. I guess, she was just likeable.

"Speaking of the devil," Finn smirked. I followed where his eyes were looking at. I saw Ms. Shevlin walking from afar, files and books on her hand. She seemed struggling with it. A few students greeted her, and some even checking her out. Couldn't blame them though, she's charming in every way.
