I am currently listening to Rock Bottom by Hailey. Alex's face keep peaking through my mind and I honestly hate it. Ugh!
How dare he! I am not happy with what's going on in my mind.
Starting that day, he kept coming back in the pavement to play basketball or just to ramble anything with Shara outside the balcony.
Ano namang iniisip ng taong to at halos araw araw na siya dito? Kulang nalang tumira siya dito. Hindi ako lumalabas ng bahay. Ayoko siyang makita. Ayoko siyang makausap. Manigas siya. Andami niyang pwedeng kaibiganin jan bat ako pa?
Atleast hindi siya nagtetext.
What am I going to do here? Nababato na ako. Itong si Alex kasi eh banas!
Naiihi pa ako. Easy lang, I will creep in silently without them noticing and go straight sa cr. Yess! I can do that.
Tapos na akong umihi. Nakahawak na ako sa knob ng pinto nang marinig ko na nag-uusap sila sa labas. Don't get me wrong. Eavesdropping is not my thing, nagkataon lang.
"Sha, hindi ba palakaibigan yang pinsan mo? Ang sungit" reklamo niya. My hand tightened around the knob as I hear my heartbeat go havoc against my chest.
"He just had a rough start in life. You can't blame her. Mahirap lumaki sa isang pamilya na inaasahan kang maging perpektong anak" she said. I feel tears prick my eyes but I'm trying my best not to cry.
He didn't respond. Instead, I heard his sharp intake of breath.
A moment have passed when he finally talked again.
"Bakit nga ba siya nagtransfer dito?" he asked.
"Sorry kuya but it's not my place to tell you. Tanungin mo nalang sa kanya" Shara asked. Good girl.
"Soon, but not now. Beast mode siya sakin eh" he said laughing a bit.
I'm not.
I'm just......afraid that's all.
I'm afraid to know you more. It may sink its claws in me making it hard to leave you.

I was pulled out from my string of thoughts when someone knocked at the door.
Shit nakalimutan ko nasa cr pa pala ako.
"Wait lang po" I called out flushing the toilet bowl to indicate that I just finished using the cr. Para hindi nila mapansin na nakikinig ako.
When I opened the door, Alex looked at me wide eyed. I didn't speak, I just came near them and sat down at the breakfast counter.
They both eyed me like I've grown another head.
"What?" I asked innocently and they both shrugged.
All of us stayed silent when tita came in.
"Penny for your thoughts?" she asked. I just smiled and left the kitchen. Alex and Shara both released their breath as they watch me leave. Hmm, they're nervous I get it.
