~Readers POV~

I had just learned more about space from an astrologist who had visited the public library when my boyfriend Johnnie walked up to me in the back yard. I was looking through a big telescope at Jupiter adjusting it as Jupiter went out of frame.

"What are you doing?" Johnnie asked.

"I'm looking at Jupiter. I can even see the striped clouds on it."

"Really?" He questioned.

I said, "Yep, wanna see?"

When he looked through the telescope he was noticeably surprised at how well he could see the gas giant. "Why is Jupiter moving so fast?"

"Jupiter isn't moving. It's the Earth that's moving. The Earth rotates at one hundred miles per hour around its axis!"

He said, "Then why is it not always really windy?"

"Though the axis is rotating fast the Earth's crust is rotating significantly slower due to the distance between the two. This makes it feel like we aren't even moving."

"Stop being a smart ass!" He said with a huge grin and gave me short sweet kiss.

We continued to lay down on a blanket outside trying to find the constellations. We fell asleep cuddling under the stars.

(A/N Did I draw a cute picture of Johnnie?)
