Chapter 6

Troy stopped dead on his tracks. For few moments, he doubted his own eyes. He just can’t believe that he was seeing the face of the woman he had scoured around the whole metropolis for weeks now. Kung pinaglalaruan lamang siya ng kanyang imahinasyon ay hindi niya iyon nagugustuhan.

Pero ilang beses na siyang napakurap at hindi pa rin nawawala sa paningin ang pigura ng babaeng nasa kanyang harapan. And he just can’t stop the rush of excitement in his heart as realization slowly dawned on him that he finally found her, at long last.

Buti na lamang at pinagbigyan niya ang ama sa gusto nitong mangyari. His father wanted him to meet his friend’s daughter in hopes that they will get married one day. It took a lot of will-power, force and persuasion from his father before he finally conceded to follow his command.  Nakukulili na kasi ang tenga niya at araw-araw ay kinukulit siya ng ama.

          Meeting a woman who will soon be his wife, according to his father’s wishes, was foolish for him. He was against it. Not this time around, when he thought that he finally found the woman he really liked. Though she just disappeared in his life and he lost communication with her, he was determined to find her. Isa pa ay nakapagpasiya na siyang hindi na niya hahayaang ipagpatuloy ng ama ang pagmamanipula sa buhay niya.

          He was already ready to fight with his own father but his ever sweet and loving mother already stepped in to the issue between him and his father and requested that he should just consider his father’s idea.  Na pagbigyan na lamang niya ang ama para wala ng problema. He maybe a rebel son but he could not bear hurt his own mother. So he indulged them.

          Ngunit hindi niya inaasahang masosorpresa siya ngayong gabi at sinunod niya ang kagustuhan ng ama. Muli niyang nakita ang babaeng gabi-gabi ay laman ng isipan niya. Hindi maipaliwanag na kaligayahan ang pumuno sa kaibuturan niya sa kaalamang iyon. He was really surprised.

Isang ngiti ang nanulay sa kanyang mga labi at kumislap ang mga mata sa tuwa. He took paces forward... towards her.

Gusto niyang haplusin ang malambot na mukha ng dalaga. Gusto niyang tiyakin kung totoo nga ba ang pigurang nasa harapan niya. He wanted to gather her in his arms and squeeze her soft body against his.

“T-Troy!” Rein exclaimed as she finally found her voice, stuttering.  Napaatras siya nang lumapit sa kanya ang lalaki. “Anong ginagawa mo rito?”  Kaagad siyang naalarma.

Tumigil ito sa kanyang harapan and stared at her face for quite sometime. “Wow, you really are real and looking as lovely as ever,” he said huskily, eyes roaming around her face.

Kaagad na sumigid ang kakaibang lamig sa mga buto niya. Iyong pakiramdam na biglang sumikip ang paligid at nagkaroon ng shortage ng oxygen at nahihirapan siyang huminga, yun ang nararamdaman niya. Gayun na lamang ang pagbilis nang tibok ng puso niya habang bihag nito ang mga mata niya. “At ganuon ka pa rin. Bolero!” She hissed. Kaagad na tinakpan niya ng galit ang kabang nararamdaman.
