Our mind's eye
The soul we carry
The life that beats withinTo our eyes
The world's play of light and darkness
Is all we seeTo our own soul
The bliss flows forth
Only from withinTo our life
Our experience carries us
To the horizonWe see so much beauty without
How many years it takes if at all
To see the beauty withinWe proclaim the soul's grace
But we scorn the body's ways
Though it gives us so muchWe pretend to know our lives
Pretend the things we have are life
And missing life in the processWhich do we cherish most
I do not know nor do you
The depth of this questionTo see with our eyes
The beauty of the body
That is true sightTo feel our souls
Are not ours
But a piece of something moreTo experience the life
Within and without
Beyond the lies we tell ourselvesTo grasp the truth within
To grasp the truth without
To know without knowledge
That is the freedom we have
