MADDI'S P.O.V.

I ran around the helicarrier looking for Bethan. It had landed, and was due to set off again shortly; with or without us on board.

Keeping my head down as I ran around the ship, I tried to keep all recognition of me to an absolute minimum. I couldn't have people thinking I just run riot everywhere. Nobody was thinking that. Nobody could see me.

I needed to stop worrying. Natasha didn't worry. Clint didn't worry. None of SHIELD's best worried. They just went with the flow. They were cunning and smart and vicious and deadly and everything I wasn't.

Suddenly, I bumped into something, someone.

The apologies stumbled from my mouth as I looked up, steadying myself.

There was a man standing above me. He mumbled an apology and smiled a little before coughing slightly.

"Have you seen my brother?"

He had black hair, and dark green eyes.

Of course.

THIS was Loki.

Brother of Thor.

"Excuse me for asking, but why are you on board? and does anyone know you're here?" I stuttered, trying to regain my composure.

"Excuse me for asking, but why are you running around this ship with your head down?" He mimicked my tone slightly, but it was pretty unnoticeable.

"I'm looking for my friend." I replied.

"They might be together." He said, almost immediately.

"Well you can tag along." I offered.

He nodded, and walked alongside me down the corridor at a comfortably fast pace.

Had I just made a friend other than Bethan?

"Why are you here, Loki?" I asked quietly, avoiding eye contact.

He laughed quietly under his breath.

Nothing more was said until we reached the end of the corridor and went down some mesh stairs.

"Can you hear that?"

We both ran around a corner and up another set of stairs to the spare quarters before opening a small door near the end.

Bethan and Thor were sat on the bed, presumably talking before we showed up. I looked at Loki, thanked him quietly, gave Thor a small wave and grabbed Bethan's wrist before briskly walking from the room and beginning to sprint.

"What was that for?! OW!"

"The helicarrier landed 15 minutes ago, you idiot!"

We both ran to the main deck in record timing, if you ask me, where our car was waiting.

We climbed in the back and checked the boot quickly, to see if our luggage was there (which it was), before the driver set off to our apartment block. Bethan rubbed her eyes sleepily every 20 seconds. I was just happy I seemed to have a friend other than her, really. Even though he wouldn't tell me why they were on board. Bethan might know, but I'd have to ask her when she was fully functional.

When we arrived at our apartment block, I said goodbye to Bethan as she mumbled something about Thor and giggled before I stepped into my apartment and just fell into bed, excited for the day to come.
