BETHAN'S P.O.V.

I stepped from the machine feeling like a princess. My now-wavy blonde hair had a small jewelled flower headband adorning the top, and I wore a blouse like Maddi's with cropped sleeves, and a pair of black leggings. Some golden earrings sparkled in my ear, and a pair of pale pink platforms clacked against the floor. These shoes just about made me the same height as Madds. I wondered where she was, before I heard the thud of heavy footsteps running down the corridor.

They grew closer.

"BETHAN! BETHAN!"

Thor?

"THOR? WHY THE HELL ARE YOU-" Agent Romanoff screamed, before sprinting away. I gave a little anger scream, before pushing my heels under the shoe itself and then throwing them off. Throwing them in the huge deep pool behind me accidentally and screaming again. Shoes or being locked in here? Why the hell was I even contemplating getting my shoes?

I sprinted out the room and down the icy corridor, following the sound of shouting.

"THOR, YOU HAVE NOT BEEN AUTHORIZED! WHERE THE HELL-" Natasha screeched.

"BLACK WIDOW, I THINK YOU'LL FIND I HAVE BEEN AUTHORIZED, I AM A GOD!" Thor yelled back.

"PIPE THE FUCK DOWN, SOME PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO WORK! HE'S BEEN AUTHORIZED, NATASHA, LEAVE IT!" I heard Maddi's voice among the mix.

Finally reaching the source, with a stitch in my side, I found Madds, Natasha, Thor and Loki all stood, trying to make a point with raised voices. The arguement had progressed into something about Asgard vs Earth, and it was all against Nat.

"SHUT UP. YOU'RE ALL BEING PATHETIC! LOOK AT YOU!" I hoarsely screamed.

Loki sighed and tilted his head away. Maddi whispered something to him and they laughed quietly. Natasha locked the door swiftly and walked away with her head down. Thor turned to me and grinned like a cat.

"You've been assigned to me for tomorrow's mission."

"Well okay then."

"Aren't you excited?"

"I guess."

Playing it cool, but I was feeling clammy. Thor was drop dead gorgeous. I was exploding inside, but I couldn't forget what'd just happened.

"I need you to apologize to everyone, Thor, if you want to work with me you have to be professional."

Maddi and Loki walked away, leaving us alone.

"I think you'll find I'm more qualified than you, Rose."

"Its Bethan. Rose Baron if you insist on using my agent name. I'm not 'Rose'." I said rather assertively, before beginning to walk down back to the main base of the hub. Thor followed me.

"Rose is a beautiful name though; to match such a beautiful person." He laughed.

"Thor, no." I shrugged off the comment neutrally, before realizing I still had no shoes on.

He seemed to have noticed, too.

He lunged forward and swooped me up, and despite my immediate protests and my thrashing, and he ran me along the long expanses of corridor until we reached the accommodation sector. Thor gently tilted me so my feet were on the floor before putting me on the grated flooring.

I was literally breathless.

"Come with me, Bethan. I will give you some shoes." Thor purred.

"You're not meant to be this desperate." I stumbled over my words.

He took my hand and we walked slowly to the end of the sector.

When we reached his accommodation, I found his room to be a complete mess. Files covered the white floor, his bed unmade and his lights were dimmed.

"Didn't your mother ever tell you to clean up if you have a girl round?" I asked, looking at his room in awe.

He shrugged, and walked over to the sliding door closet built into the wall.

"Where's Loki staying?" I questioned whilst thumbing through an old book left lying on a shelf.

"The room opposite mine. We've both been drafted in, assigned to each of you. Aren't you staying in the room next to mine?" Thor said, his head still in the closet.

What?

"On the helicarrier?" I asked.

"Yeah. We'll be on it tomorrow, you know. Going to an old 'asylum' apparently." I heard him laugh.

"Really?"

He finally stepped from the closet holding a pair of pale pink platforms.

Just like the ones I just lost.

"You want to go for a walk?" Thor smiled.

"Yeah. I'd like that." I grinned.

My pocket started to vibrate. Assuming it was my phone, I pulled the rectangle from the fabric and opened the screen.

It was Madds calling.

"Hello?"

"BETHAN, LISTEN. WE NEED YOU NOW A-"

The line went dead.
