The daughter you wished you never had.

Am I the daughter you wished you never had,
The daughter you wished you  never met.

Am I one of those "mistakes" created,
Every time you see me,you say"ugh...its you again"
With your voice filled with disgust.

The dreams that you've shattered,
have had me holding on to you more than ever.

You see,
The day you said you hated having a daughter like me,
was the day my love for you faded away like thin smoke in the air.

I remember the day you said you would never desert me as if it was just yesterday.
But then that look you gave when you said you wanted me back and asked for forgiveness,
haunts me more than my worst nightmare day in and day out.

I wish I could forgive you,
Though I just don't have it in me.

I was once your grand diamond,
Now I'm just a diamond with scars and bloody marks that can never be removed.

I was a walking dead soul,
watching people who lived happy and carefree lives.
While I was filled with hatred and despair.

My soul was craving for a fathers love,
yet you never gave that to me.
Then your replacement came along,
and until today I call that replacement my dad.

Now I know,
I am indeed the daughter you wished you never had.

As sad as this may sound....it is in fact very true.
And i most definitely do not wish it on anyone because I have lived with the pain for as long as I can remember......so cherish your parents (both of them)..no matter how crappy you may think they are, though I know that I dislike(maybe even hate) my dad.  :'(.......thanks to those you have read this and my previous poems.
