When you heard the news that the missing princess of Hoshido was returning, you and a few others were happy, you use to be childhood friends with her before she was kidnapped, you weren't able to fight the past few days due to an injury, you didn't want to be healed by any of the healers, you told them having time away from battle will help you recollect your thoughts, you rushed out of your room when you heard the commotion, you looked at the Hoshido royals return but what brought tears to your eyes was the new face, you recognised that person instantly, rushing through the crowd you stared at Kamui and Sakura smiled at you, lightly pulling you out the crowd and making you walk by Kamui, you could help but stare at how beautiful of a woman she became, you looked at the floor with a blush, a lump growing in your throat, after all these years of training to get her back and to protect the royal family, it partly paid off, you weren't able to help claim the victory of finding the lost princess, swallowing the lump in your throat and looking back at Kamui "Kamui.. It's good to see you again" you smiled and she stared at you, as if trying to remember who you were, Sakura and Hinoka placed a hand on your shoulder to comfort you "give her some time to remember.." Sakura smiled and Hinoka gave a light nod "why not spend more time with her, I'm sure it'll help her remember who you are" Hinoka smiled and you smiled back "I'll help the best I can!" Ryoma looked back at you "you're a good (man/woman), I'm glad you're able to help lighten the mood in the army" Ryoma smiled and Takumi gave a nod "thank you m'lord" you replied with a smile and a faint blush, not use to the compliments, Kamui couldn't help but stare at you whenever you smiled
~A Few Years Later~
Kamui remembered you after a few months, she remembered playing with your (h/l), (h/t), (h/c) hair, she remembered playing in the rain and jumping into puddles with you, when she finally remembered you, she never stopped apologising to you then told you how important you were to her "Kamui!" You smiled as she ran over to you and gave you a hug "(f/n)!" She giggled as you lightly swung her around, blushing at your own actions you lightly set her down and smiled, mentally talking yourself into confessing your love to her "Kamui.. I have something to tell you" "oh? What is it (f/n)?" She asked with a smile "when I heard the news you were on the battle field, I wanted to head there but couldn't, when I heard the commotion I didn't waste any time to come and see your return.. You've grown into a strong and beautiful woman like how you said you would.." You smiled and lightly stroked her cheek "all the time we spent together since then.. I've grown special feelings for you that I felt for no other.." You blushed which made Kamui blush more "oh (f/n).. I love you too!" She smiled and hugged you "y-you do?! That's great!" You smiled and held her close, knowing that you'll both start a happy family
