You were one of the best swordsman in your village, gold easily came your way with people hiring you, traders hiring you to help protect the merchandise during travel and being hired to "help" bandits, anytime a bandit group wanted to hire you, you would ask for double but if it was a trader you would ask for less.. Your name traveled from trader to trader, saying how hiring you would keep all merchandise safe and if you got injured on the job you wouldn't ask for more money which kept business good for both you and the trader.. You were sitting in a tavern in your town with a glass of water when a few bags were placed on your table, looking up you saw a bold face "Is this enough? No questions" the bandit spoke and you placed the cup down as you looked at the bags, checking the coins to see if they were real "deal.." You replied, placing the coin purses into your bag as you finished your glass of water, leaving money on the table for your meal from earlier, standing up and placing your sheathed sword on your belt, you followed the bandit out to the rest of his group "alright boys! We got our sword!" "But it's just one person" "she's one of the best! Let's get moving to get ahead of them so the ambush can happen!" The bandit that hired you cackled as he walked ahead, fixing your hood you followed the group, not letting your guard down then what seemed like hours of walking the leader told you and a few others to make a scene on the path when he gave the signal, a small army started to approach and the leader gave the signal to his men to start, you felt your arm get pulled "give us yer gold harlet!" He growled as you pulled him closer, you being you just spat on his face which infuriated him, he pushed you roughly to the ground and raised his axe, someone from the small army ran towards you and the two bandits and blocked the attack, you examined him when you stood up and noticed the Hoshido symbol on his collar, you've been hired to help bandits kill the Hoshido's army! "NOW!" You heard the bandit leader yell as him and the others ran out of their hiding spots, you looked at him "I didn't sign up for this!" You yelled at him "heck you didn't even allow me to ask questions about the job!" "You've got your payment! Now fight!!" He growled at you "I will" you replied as you ran towards him and unsheathed your sword, swinging it at him, he crouched down and was about to reach for his axe when you brought your knee up harshly into his jaw, the Hoshidan that saved you earlier watched you, placing your foot on the bandits chest and you pointed your sword at him "I'll give you mercy if you call you men back" you spoke down at him, your eyes glaring into his, noticing the smirk on his face you knew someone was running up behind you, looking back you saw a bandit with a tome, stopping a few feet away from you he readied himself, mumbling a spell he was ready to cast it when someone cut him down but didn't kill him, you've been saved twice now by the reddish brown haired Hoshidan, grinning you thought that if he saves you one more time you'll swear your life to protect him for saving yours but that's not your way of doing things, drawing your sword and pointing it at the leader, now the Hoshidans didn't know your identity and the hood was throwing them off, you saw the distrust in the eyes but pushed it away, focusing on the leader, he readied his axe "y'know I paid up front, it's rare for you to turn on the people who hired you so quickly" you stayed quiet and as soon as he saw you weren't going to reply he leapt towards you, you blocked the attack and noticed he wasn't moving "playing dirty?" "Bandit way" he laughed as he jumped back, as soon as he did a Mage casted a fire spell towards you, you dodged it and threw the damaged clock to cover their vision, you and the man who saved you twice cut them down but didn't kill them, knowing that the Hoshidans wanted to talk to them "you're good with a sword! I'm Hinata" you look at Hinata and sheathed your sword "thank you" you smiled lightly then looked at the two royals who were most likely in charge, a lobster samurai and one that looked like an elf "you were a hired sword?" "Yes" "but you turned on them, why?" The elf asked and someone from their army ran over "she's the one that always gets paid to protect caravans! So that's why" a soldier said then bowed in apology "raise your head" the elf smiled at them then watched them walk away "so where did you come from?" Hinata asked "I travel, I'm not from Nohr or Hoshido" "so your village is neutral?" The lobster asked "was.. When we didn't want Nohrian troops setting up shop there.." The elf placed a hand on your shoulder "Nohr is a terrible place and we're trying to end this war" you remembered as if it was yesterday, the light in the distance and running towards it, only to find your village on fire with Faceless, you heard the dying screams of the villagers that you once called family and friends., Looking them dead in the eyes with determination "let me help you fight! I won't asked for money but knowing that Nohr will be put in its place will allow my village to rest in peace!" The elf smiled, knowing they can't talk you out of it "we would love you to aid us in our quest for peace" "Corrin, are we seriously going to pick up every straggler we see?!" "Pineapples can talk?" You mumbled as you looked at the person who spoke "Pineapple!? Oh wait, it's you" "Lord Takumi, you know her?" Hinata asked and Takumi sighed "she helped us kill Faceless a few times but I'm the only one who saw her and she called me a Pineapple" you smiled proudly "Nohr is still far away, let's get moving" "Hinata, I'll be partnering you up with her till we reach Nohr" "got it!" You nodded and followed them
