 (Mariah's POV)

*4 months later*

So after four months of being abused just for acting out of line I left the Akatsuki to get free of the abuse. As long as I come when summoned they don't care what I do, as long as I don't leave for good. I left my cloak at the base and only carrying a bag of my clothes and my personal things that I didn't wanted anyone going through. Right now I had a black eye and bruises of hand prints on my neck and wrists. I had make-up covering the bruises on my face.

Lately the voice in my head has been talking to me and telling me untrue things. I'm starting to hallucinate and am losing my mind; I believe that my insanity has finally caught up to me. I was so close to going insane before but my team saved me from that but now, I have no one except Itachi. That isn't enough though, I need more than one person to help me.

I reached a little town and saw how happy everyone was. They were care free and had no worries. I envied them because I've been through so much in my life. I walked down the streets and looked up at the sky; the sun was setting. I needed a place to rest and to eat, I haven't eaten in three days. I saw a nice restaurant in the distance so I headed over there. I opened the door and saw that it wasn't that busy there so I went up to the hostess and she brought me to a table. I looked at the menu while the waitress went to wait another table. I decided on sushi and ramen with tea.

When she came back I ordered my food and drink. I was going to be waiting for a little bit so I decided to play with the shadows of objects. I then felt two people walked into the restaurant, they had huge chakra sources. The waitress seated them in the booth in front of me. There was a girl with red hair and glasses and the other was a man with white hair but with blue tips. I couldn't help but stare; he was pretty handsome.

"Ah Suigetsu! He's going to be mad!" The girl shouted.

"Awe Karin we're just getting a bite to eat. Relax we'll eat quickly then go to the meeting point and he'll never know." Suigetsu said calmly.

"If we get in trouble then I blame you," She huffed.

I raised an eye brow at them but my food came.

"Kill them you'll feel better,"

"GO AWAY YOU STUPID VOICE!" I shouted in my head.

The voice is new but it was already annoying. It's been trying to manipulate me ever since and I believe this is the demon my family has been afraid of. I broke the chopsticks apart and started to eat. The ramen and sushi were really good so I mostly inhaled  the whole thing because I was so hungry.  I saw the waitress bring the two in front of me food. She placed their food down and came over to me.

"Miss?"

"Yeah?"

"Um I'm sorry to be rude but are you alright?" She asked motioning to my wrists, neck, and face.

"It's none of your business."

"I'm sorry to intrude; I'm just worried if someone was abusing you."

"No, I'm a ninja so it's common." 

"Oh, ok."

"What's the date today?" I asked.

"July 10th ma'am."

"Okay thanks, can I have more tea please?"

"Of course,"

"She's annoying so you should kill her."
