Sasuke has gone crazy

I started to fade in and out of consciousness; I was losing too much blood. I removed my hand from my wound to see it completely covered in blood. I was starting to cough up blood as well.

"Mariah! I have to heal you!" Karin shouted rushing to my side.

With the last bit of strength that I had I reached up and grabbed her arm. I looked up at her face noticing that she was crying.

"No Karin.......follow M-Madara's orders....... and don't..... heal me. You d-don't want to......disobey him. Just......heal.....S-Sasuke...."

My arm dropped from hers hitting the ground with a thud. I turned my head away from her and up to the blackness staring ahead.

"BUT YOU'RE DYING!" Karin shouted tears streaming down her face.

I started to chuckle despite the pain.

"You............actually...........care.....about...m-me? I-I thought......"

"Mariah I may not like that you and Sasuke love each other but as long as Sasuke is happy then I'm happy. I don't care who you are Mariah but you're a person and part of this team. I can't let you die."

I smirked.

"Heh.....you act like..............a leaf ninja......you   show............. mercy......You...can't heal me.......Madara.......he'll kill you........"

"Why can't you heal yourself?!"

"Because................when Madara..............was chocking.....me.....he was sucking.....all......my chakra away.....Just....please......heal S-Sasuke...." I said painfully turning away.

"O-Okay,"

She got back up and rushed to Sasuke's side once again. I laid there on the ground just waiting to die and be with my family again. I felt my eyes getting heavier and heavier. Soon I couldn't keep them open so I welcomed the darkness.

(Naruto's POV)

Gaara and his siblings appeared before us.

"We came to bring you guys up to speed....so listen carefully, because a lot went down at the Kage summit." Temari said.

They told us everything that had happened. How Sasuke intruded in the meeting challenging the Kages and going after Danzo. He told us about what Mariah had done to protect everyone and how Madara almost killed her.

"Wow....talk about a long meeting...I knew Danzo couldn't be trusted." Captain Yamato said.

"I've never been enthused about the idea of becoming Hokage but even in this situation, I can't do anything until we get back to the leaf village and get everyone else's opinions." Kakashi sensei said.

"Madara declared war on the whole world, there's no time for politics." Temari said.

"I have a feeling everyone will agree right away...we can continue the discussion once Kakashi-senpai is Hokage. They know that if they wait Madara and Akatsuki will make the first move and we'll be stuck reacting to them." Yamato said.

"Very true.."

"Then there's Sasuke...."

"Sheesh....I can't believe he attacked the Kage summit.

"Naruto.....just so we're clear, this is a war to protect the eight and nine tails. In other words, a war to protect you and in doing so, the whole shinobi world. I, as the Kazekage, am putting my life on the line for you. If Sasuke, a member of Akatsuki stands against me, he'll be shown no mercy. Sasuke has stopped looking for you. He seeks the darkness of his own will. He doesn't even care about Mariah anymore. He almost killed her."
