Ara looked up at the sky and saw that the sun was setting soon. An unexpected shiver crawled onto her skin.

"W-Wow..It's oddly cold tonight.. Then again, it's only my first time on land.." Ara gathered some random sticks that were scattered across the forest. "This will have to do.." She grumbled, clearly not happy with the outcome.

She lat on a log, desperately trying to rub the sticks together to make a fire.

"Dang it!" She yelled and tried again "I saw some people doing it before once when I was looking for victims!" She rubbed the two sticks in frustration really hard and a Spark lit.

"YES!" Ara Whisper-Yelled to Herself. She made a simple camp and laid down and relaxed. She grabbed the log book the King gave her when she was brought here. (The King Gave her a Back-Pack with SUPPLIES.) She started to write her first entry.

Day 1

So far, this mission hasn't gone well. I mean, How hard can it be to find some guy?! I hope Malin's okay. Anyway, apparently i'm near some village called Phoenix Drop. The king told us to stay away from it at all costs. We can't risk them trying to convince us to join their 'alliance'. Zane told us that they lock people in cages and force kingdoms and villages to join. They sound like incredibly bad news. Zane told us so, and we trust him. Our Kingdom and O'khasis are Great Friends. Even thought that may seem unlikely because our Kind live underwater, O'khasis is INCREDIBLE.

I hear some noises around here i'm going to check it out...

Ara closed her journal with a slam and grabbed the makeshift dagger from the king. She held it out in all directions, trying to locate the sound. Ara new what it was. She'd been studying the human lands for a while now so she recognized the noise. A snake..

She turned around and saw a medium sized snake. (I know in the movie Kaa is HUMONGOUS, but this snake looked like her, only smaller. And can't speak..) The snake hissed at her fiercely, causing her to back up.

"Shh... it's okay..." Ara started to walk forwards. She put her hand out to calm the snake. That was a bad idea. The snake hissed again, lunging forward, Ara dodging but Barely. Then Ara Remembered, she Is a Siren, couldn't she sing? Ara cleared her throat and started singing...

(I thought it would be funny to use Kaa's song from the new Jungle Book Movie.)

  Trust in me

 Just in me

 Shut your eyes

Ara motioned her hand up and down in front of her and the snakes eyelids followed. Ara smiled.

Trust in me

 You can sleep

 Safe and sound

 Knowing I

 Am around

 Slip into silent slumber

 Sail on a silver mist

 Slowly and surelyYour senses

 Will cease to resist

 Just relax

 Be at rest

 Like a bird

 In a nest

 Trust in me

 Just in me

 Shut your eyes

And trust in me

 Trust in me

 Just in me

 Shut your eyes

 And trust in me..

The Snake's eyes were in swirls when she finished.

Ara smiled a great smile. The snake coiled around her neck loosely in a friendly manner.

"That's a good snakie.." She said as if talking to a baby. "I'm going to name you.. Casper..."

Ara smiled once again and laid down next to the blazing fire. Her powers could still be used...

This could get her very far on this land...

Ara and Casper fell into a peaceful sleep.
