Cobbled alleyways, tourists circumnavigate
their columbine couplings snag on stones
Catalan cascades from casements
Picasso bums warped by February shivers
begging a fag, alighting the sight-seeing
the day passes by and bye
blinded by baroque, a cathedral of eyebrows raised
Marble martyrs, candled in crimson wax lyrical
Rows of sombre dark pews
Confession of sin spews.
Above the arches soar high
Beckoning many a prayerful sigh
Then they turn in Miroesque pirouette
Lining the cafe with smoky breath
Gaudily bathed in Barcelona.
