Unpredictably Predictable

Chapter 2

Here's the beginning:

Phoebe was born on July 18, 1998 to Danielle and Robert Mori, she has two half brothers but neither of them are really ever around enough to really be considered family.

On her first day of kindergarten she met Jake. Phoebe was scared and alone in the corner watching him and his new friends play. He noticed her watching and decided to call her out on it, she started to cry and he got in trouble. The next day he apologized and they became friends.

Nothing significant happened in 1-3 grade, just Jake and Phoebe becoming closer.

4th grade is when Phoebe really noticed all the people starting to talk about her. She always knew people said negative things about her physical appearance but 4th grade they started to really target just her. It started with a few comment about her chest, she started developing breasts at that time, and she was really the only one. They then started to talk more and more about her weight. Phoebe didn't tell anyone about it because the idea of having people pity her felt worse than having everyone talk about her weight. So, she just ate her feelings, consuming at least 3,000 calories a day. Jake didn't care or notice because he was always with her so he never noticed the slow changes.

In 5th grade Phoebe met Angelika, the only person to ever tell her not to eat something unhealthy. At lunch she saw Phoebe about to eat something bad for her, so she traded Phoebe what she had for some fruit. From there Angelika, Jake and Phoebe were the closest of friends.

6th grade the bullying progressively increased. Jake pretended not to notice and Angelika acted as Phoebes body guard, telling people off for giving her a wrong look. Phoebes parents divorced a year prior to 6th grade, it didn't really effect her until her alcoholic dad started to call her and tell her how big of a piece of shit she was. Jake was her go to, to talk about her dad but she never talked to him about her depression or weight gain. Because of all the weight gain, Phoebe started to hate being around people; standing up in front of people was not an option for her. This was also the year she started to cut herself.

8th grade they met two new people, Sam and Colby. Angelika took a liking to Colby, which made Phoebe happy to see her happy. Jake told Phoebe he liked her that year; things got awkward because of that. She also discovered how heavy she really was the summer before school started; she weighed 190lb. Phoebe went into a mental break down and completely stopped eating, whenever she felt like eating she cut herself, if she ate and gained a pound, for every pound she gained was a new cut. Phoebe cut her arms, thighs and stomach. It started to become an addiction.

Sophomore year, Angelika and Colby were a thing only after Angelika and Sam dated during freshman year. Jake lost his virginity to a senior he only new for a week. Phoebe got down to 150lb and slowly became a little happier, but not enough to make a difference in her mind. Jake found out about her self harm and made her promise to never do it again, but she did anyway. Somehow they all stayed friends through the first two years of High School. Phoebe was very conscious of people looking at her, and made her heart rate very high every time she walked through the hallways.

Junior year was just like the year before, drama here and there, still best friends. Phoebe got down 140lb; She hated how she looked; all the scars and stretch marks were atrocious.

And here they are, senior year.
