The Only Way (Kylo Ren)

"Ben?"

"Yeah, (y/n)?"

"Are we still going to be friends after we graduate training school?"

Ben looked over at you, breaking his gaze away from the brilliant stars shining that night through the hideout you guys would always go to.

His face twisted into an almost confused emotion and you were starting to get nervous that you even asked him that question.

"I'm- I'm sor-"

"No don't be sorry. I have thought of that many of times... I believe we will still be friends. I don't want to lose you after we leave.. so I'll make sure it doesn't happen." Ben turned his head to the side, avoiding your gaze.

You ignored it and both laid back down, his arm under your head and your face snuggled in his ribs. Your life was perfect in that one moment.. But things were soon to change.

Your eyes shot open to the sound of multiple people screaming. You looked around to notice that you were still in the hideout and Ben was nowhere to be seen.

"Ben.. Ben!" You shouted, looking out to the burning Jedi School.

'Ben's in there, all of my friends are in there', was the only thing running through your mind. so you jumped down out of the hideout and booked it towards the burning building.

You opened the doors, and started to frantically run through the halls.

"Ben! Ben where are you!" You shouted with all your might.

Running down one of the halls, you could feel the heat starting to rise. The flames were getting hotter by the second. But you refused to leave your only friend behind..

"Ben please! Please.. where are you?" You yelled, tears welling up in your eyes.

You felt a presence behind you and quickly turned around to see Master Luke standing there.

"Master Luke! Did everyone get out? Where's Ben?" Master Luke knew of the strong connection you and Ben had, so it wasn't a surprise when you asked if he was safe.

"There are all gone, (y/n). Ben killed them all except us. He killed all the Jedi's. Now we must go right now if you want to live." Master Luke took you hand, but you backed away.

"B-But Ben wouldn''t do that.. He just couldn't do that.. I have to find him. I'm sorry." You ran away, ignoring your teacher's call.

You ran all the way to the main gathering room and could hear a whooshing sound. It was somebody's lightsaber.

Feeling a boost of energy, you ran in there. All you could see were the bodies of your peers laying lifeless in front of you.

"Ben, no please don't be dead.." You said, bending down and skimming through every body.

"I'm not dead (y/n)." You heard somebody say behind you.

Ben.

You stood up slowly and turned around to see Ben. His black hair was matted to his head from the heat of the flames around us and he was holding a glowing red lightsaber.

"No.. No." Was all you say.

"(Y/n), please.. Please don't be mad... I done this for us." He said, taking your hands in his.

You were completely confused.

"Why Ben?"

"This is the only way we can truly be together. Kill all the Jedis so our love can break not one rule. We could be together." Kylo grabbed my hands tighter and kissed them.

You felt very conflicted. You loved Ben, And you've loved him for a long time.. But he just murdered innocent people.

"Ben.. I can't. I can't go with you." You recited emotionless, yanking your arms away from his grasp.

You ran away, barely getting out of the Jedi School before it burst into flames. You looked back and cried, knowing that there was no possible way that Ben made it out.

Ben was dead.
