"Okay and, so what?"

You shook your head and sighed, holding the papers closer to your chest.

"So what? All you do is fawn over him."

Kalifa giggled softly and continued her way down the hall.

"You do, that dog is going to be the death of you Y/n."

You rolled your eyes and shook your head.

"Kalifa please.."
"Its true, you told me about him that one time at the company party and I've been heeding on my promise since."
"Yeah, the promise that said you'd never talk to it about anyone?"
"Exactly, and I haven't told a soul-"
"Scratch that."

Kaku's voice rang out from the hall, and quickly made his way to the other side of you; managing to find yourself stuck in the middle of the banter.

"You told Kaku!?"
"Not like he'd tell anybody, right giraffe boy?"
"Right-Hey!"

His eyes squinted at the woman and she merely turned her head to chuckle.

"Oh my god.."
"Hey don't worry about it okay? Im just leading you to the prize."
"Jabra?"
"Jabra."

You shook slightly out of fear; what if he didn't harbor the same feelings you did!? You'd be made a complete fool and wouldn't be able to show your face to him again..

"Kalifa I..."
"We've been through this, its just his room okay? If he tries to pull a move on you or do something you don't like, just tell him to back off okay?"
"Okay...I guess so.."

Kaku smiled fondly and wrapped an arm around your shoulder.

"You'll be a okay! Just call me and Kal here if you need something."
"Don't call me Kal."

You smiled to yourself and giggled quietly, stopping abruptly in the hall as you came to the wolf mans 'den'.

"Watch out though Y/n, he may mark his territory on you."

The two busted out into a laughing fit as your face burst into a red hue.

"H-hey! Don't talk like that d-d-dammit! I don't need anymore stress!"

The two apologized before backing away.

"Talk to you later den mama."
"Shut up Kalifa!"

She smiled and went her way with Kaku by her side, the two laughing along the way.

You look up at the door, completely fixated on the wood surface.

You chewed on your lip and hesitantly knocked on the door, the handle jiggling a bit before it swung open to the tall shirtless man inside.
"Y/n? What's up?"
"U-uh...well I just wanted to talk a bit?"
"Oh, well, come on in then."

He stepped aside, allowing you into his room.

You took a few steps inside, looking around before you heard the door close shut.

"Talk huh? Like what exactly?"

He fell back on his bed, the bed underneath creaking under the weight suddenly put on it.
"I don't know uh...like just talk about anything I guess? You've been away awhile.."

He sat up and looked at you with a small frown.

"Yeah I have been, come in and sit with me so we can talk."

He sat up and crossed his legs, patting the spot in front of him.

You shuffled to his bed, sitting down in front of him as a smile stretched across his face.

"I have been gone awhile, haven't I?"
"Yeah...a little.."
"A little...ha.."

His voice fell a bit and his eyes lowered down to yours.

"It was hard being away from all these guys, all by myself on a mission.."
"I can only believe how much you must've missed Lucci.."
"Oh ha, poke fun at me all you want girl.."

You smile slightly, a giggle bubbling up from your throat.

"I'm sorry, do continue."
"How kind of you."

He ruffled your hair, chuckling as he leaned back against the bed.

"Well, I had to travel around Water 7, some talk about ship stealers and burglaries that happened around by the mayors quarters."
"So you were stationed over there to stop them?"
"Yeah, originally. What happened was that the townspeople were getting more and more anxious around me, so they had to send me back. Yay "

You nodded and sighed, looking down.

"Yeah, bet they were..."
"Yeah.."

The rooms air seemed to thicken, making it harder for you to breathe.

Should you tell him now? Was it too early? He had just gotten back a day ago and dealt with straining work. You really shouldn't push something like this on him..

"Y/n? You there? Yoohoo?"

You blinked and stared up at Jabra, a small blush apparent on your cheeks.

"You okay there? You seemed to go a bit blank there for a few seconds."
"Ye-yeah I'm fine..don't worry about it.."

He sighed and shrugged, folding his arms behind his head as he closed his eyes.

"You don't sound fine...but if you don't want to talk about it, I understand.."
"I just don't want to annoy you is all...you just got back here and you don't need me pushing more stress onto you then you've already had."

His eyebrow raised, one of his eyes popping open at the sound of your voice breaking slightly.

"Adding on more stress? Why do you think you're doing that?"
"Because I'm in here bothering you when you should be relaxing..."

You heard him laugh a bit, leaning back up to smile.

"But I am relaxing, I'm perfectly relaxed right now with you in here with me."
"A-are you sure? I can just leave Jabra it won't hurt my feelings."
"Why do you want to leave so bad? Do I smell? Am I that gross?"

He pulled on his clothing and took a deep whiff, recoiling slightly.

"Ah..okay never mind maybe I do need a shower..."

You chuckle slightly and shake your head as he rises to his feet.

"No its just...I...dammit.."
"Y/n, you can tell me come on."

You closed your eyes and flopped back on the mattress, letting out a loud groan before you looked over at him again.

"I like you Jabra...like...a lot..I wouldn't outright say love you...but I do like you.."

You saw him freeze slightly, your heart pounding in your chest as he slowly turned back to your form.

"Like....like like me?"
"Like,like like you Jabra."

There was a pause, everything going quiet.

You saw him blink before his face lit up.

"Oh yeah! I didn't have to be an awkward shit first!"

He raised his fists into the air and howled, picking you up and holding you close to his chest.

You blush and look up at him.

"J-jabra!?"
"Yes Y/n?"
"Is that a 'I like you too'?"

"Course it is den mama!"
