So I know I said I would have this by last weekend but I got called into work and wasn't able to finish writing. The chapter still isn't finished but I wanted to give y'all something at least. Sorry it's kinda short and I will try to have part 2 up soon.

After her shower, Sang finished getting dressed pulling on a jean skirt and a white and gray stripped tank top that had a large pink heart on the front. She then brushed the tangles from her hair and pulled it back into her normal clip. Slipping on her flip flops she turned to Liza who had been quietly watching her get ready, raising her hands she asked if the guys had returned signing the question as she peeked out the window.

“Yes they just pulled up to the house across the street. I take it your going to head over then?” Liza replied as she  glanced out the window before turning back to watch as Sang nodded her head. “I going to see if I can get any more information on that Hendericks guy. Remember no talking missy.” The spirit gave the younger girl a stern look causing her to roll her eyes.

“I’m the one with the sore throat here I know better than to talk and make it worse.” Sang signed in annoyance.

“I also know how stubborn you can be when it comes to something you consider important and a sore throat will not stop you.” Liza replied fondly with an exasperated sigh as Sang rolled her eyes once more.

Yeah yeah, I promise not to talk okay? I’ll see you later, and be careful not to gain Hendericks attention with your snooping.” Sang gave her guardian a concerned look as signed her caution.

“Now who is nagging?” At Sang’s worried frown she sighed and the spirit fought back her own eye roll. “ Again who is the protector here? I promise to be careful and come back tonight. Now you go on and spend some time with those cute boys of yours and have some fun.” Liza waved her hands in a shooing motion and Sang gave a small smile as she blushed. Grabbing a pen and notebook off her night stand she waved goodbye to Liza before quietly sneaking downstairs.

After making sure the coast was clear she slipped out the door and carefully shut it, at the quiet click of the latch she let out a breath of air, not realizing she had been holding her breath. Grimacing at the spike of pain from her throat she took off across the street to meet the boys. It was nice to have someone care about her for once. She knew Liza cared for her but it was nice to know that a living person could as well , and the hugs were nice too. Taking a quick glance over at her house to make sure that no one saw her cross the street, Sang then hurried up to the door and knocked. Loud barks echoed from the other side of the door and then the sound of a male voice that she couldn’t make out, the barking ceased and then Kota was opening the door. A smile spread across his face as his green eyes seemed to light up behind his glasses as they landed on her.

“Hey Sang, come on in.” Stepping back Kota opened the door wider and she walked inside, giving a small wave in hello as he shut the door behind her.
“I’m glad you came, Nathan and I were trying to figure how we could check up on you without alerting your mom.” Kota turned and led the way to his room, with his back turned Sang couldn’t reply to his statement so she followed up to his room. Walking into his bedroom Sang spotted Nathan sprawled out across Kota’s bed staring up at the ceiling with his hands tucked behind his bed.

“Good news, Sang is here so we can scrap the window plan.” Kota said as they entered the room. This caused Nathan to look up the pulling himself up into a sitting position.

“Awesome because we honestly had no idea which window was your room. Hey Sang, how are you feeling?” Sang was surprised they would go through so much trouble to make sure she was okay. Waving a hello she opened her notebook and began to write. As she was doing that Kota dragged two bean bag chairs over next to the bed.

“Have a seat Sang. We really do need to figure out a way we can keep in contact so we know your okay.”
Having finished her writing she handed the notebook to Kota then sat down in one of the bean bags as he read the note out loud.

“I’m fine, Mom was asleep when I got home and she still was when I snuck out. I took my medicine that Dr Green prescribed me and my room is the third window on the second floor facing the road. I would have been over earlier but you weren’t here. I’m not sure how we can keep in touch, I don’t have a cell phone and calling the house would be a very bad idea.” Kota handed her the notebook back and sat down.

“Well I guess we will just have to get you a cell phone, that way we can know your okay.” Nathan said, shrugging his shoulders. Kota nodded thoughtfully.

“That would be the best option I think. I can have Victor get one and bring it over.” Kota grabbed his phone but before he could text anyone a hand was placed across the screen. Looking up he saw Sang shake her head with widen eyes, once she was sure that he wasn’t going to continue, she removed her hand and picked up her notebook once more.

“I don’t have any money. I would not be able to pay this Victor person back for the phone nor would I be able to keep up the payments for the service. We will just have to keep doing what we are doing and maybe think up some kind of signal to let you know I am okay.” Kota once again read the note out loud shaking his head as he did so.

“ You don’t need to worry about that, since we are the ones that want to keep in touch with you, we will pay for the phone and the service.”

“Although the signal thing is a good idea, maybe like a distress signal or something for if she is in trouble and can’t get to her phone for some reason.” Nathan piped up, rubbing his chin in thought. Kota nodded in agreement once more.

“Good idea, phones can be compromised at anytime so having a backup plan is always a good strategy.” As the two plotted, Sang had been writing , once again she handed it to Kota who read it out loud obediently.

“But why waste money on something that I will probably end up breaking, if we are going to use signals? There is no way my mother will let me keep a phone, especially one that a boy has bought me. I would try my best to keep it hidden but both my mother and sister Marie are always going through my things so it is bound to be discovered.” Letting out a sigh Kota set the notebook aside and leaned forward, a stern look appeared on the normally kind and friendly face as he made she sure she was listening carefully to what he had to say.

“Look Sang, we may have only just met but I don’t want to see you hurt again. Since you refuse to let us help you get out of there, then at least give us this small way to let us know you are okay. I trust that you can keep the phone hidden as best as possible, and if it is discovered, that is when you would use the signal. I’m not worried about losing the phone.  You are way more important that a silly little phone. So please let us do this for you.”
Sang couldn’t help but stare in awe into his eyes that spoke just as clearly as his mouth did. He truly meant every word he just said. He barely even knew her and yet he and his friends were willing to go through such great lengths to help her. Is this what it feels likes to have friends? To have someone living and breathing, care for her? Emotions welled up inside her, too many to understand and the only thing she could do is nod her head, blinking back tears.

“Good because I already texted Victor and he has already left to get the phone.” Nathan’s voice broke through the spell and Kota leaned back with  a smirk.

“Great that means he should be here within the hour.”

Sang couldn’t help but smile. Even if Nathan did go against her wishes, she would no longer argue. She would accept the phone and treat it like the precious gift it was. A physical sign that Kota,Nathan,Silas, and even this Victor guy she hadn’t met yet, cared about her and would be there for her at anytime.  She was no longer the freaky loner girl who could see dead people. She had friends now.
