I got in and he circled the car, getting through the door on the other side, looking both sides before closing the door behind him.

He threw the bag full of money on the front seat, turning to smile at me afterwards.

I returned a shy one, looking down at my newly done nail polish. And a thick silence ensued.

"So... where are you taking me?" I nervously said,breaking the silence, trying to memorise the path we were taking as we passed countless houses and stores.

"To dinner."

"Oh wow. Thanks. That's great" I sarcastically said, a little bit of sassiness coming out."Where exactly are you taking me?"

"To dinner in a restaurant" he said with a tight smile, ending the conversation.

So much for information squeezing.

I didn't say anything else as I followed every other house with my eyes, trying to memorise particularities,which may aid me if I manage to get away from Riccardo over there.

As I thought that, I glanced over to him and he felt my gaze, making eye contact, an automatic polite smile plastering itself on his face in a rehearsed manner.

My face remained neutral as I returned to the road, my head chanting fek surprisingly fast, making dread slowly freeze my body.
