The morning after the wedding, turned into a case of pirates and treasures, instead of talking.
Later on that day Steve went and bought a ring so he can propose to Catherine.
"Danny, so I need your help?"
"With what pal?"
"I'm going to ask Catherine to marry me."
"Wow, I never..... I've never liked you more then in this moment right now."
"Well I still need a place and a date, but I've got the ring, and now that Catherine's back I'm not letting her go, ever again."
"I'd imagine so buddy."
A few days later, Alex and Catherine were talking.
"Mom, I'm so glad you're back, this is for good right?"
"Yeah, baby it is."
"Good, I'm glad. Mom I've missed you so much, trust me, i can handle dad, but I just want my mom back."
"I know baby and I am."
Later that night, Steve planned on proposing to Catherine, with Alex's help.
Catherine was sitting on the steps, outside waiting. "Hey you two."
"Hey mom."
"Um, baby can you go inside so dad and I can talk?"
"Um sure."
After Alex left, Catherine sat back down. "Steve I have to leave, again, theres relief work I can do."
"Catherine, you can stay and do that here?"
"Steve I can do real good out in the world, not here, I'm sorry."
Car showed up, in Steve's drive way. "I called for a car already, so this wouldn't be hard."
"What about Alex?"
"Steve I can't, look, I was hoping to be gone already, when you two came home."
"So, after you promised our daughter, you wouldn't leave again, here you are leaving again, look if you leave, I can't wait for you."
"Steve Alex is your daughter, not our daughter, you adopted her, not me."
Suddenly Alex came out. "Really? So, I'm not your daughter, Catherine, please if this is about football, I'll stop, If thats why I'll stop, please don't go, whatever you want, please, don't leave us." Alex in tears. "Please."
Steve grabbing Alex, holding her arms, close. "Catherine, just go."
"Mommy!" Alex screamed.
After Catherine's car left, completely Steve let Alex go.
"Alex honey, I'm sorry."
"Daddy no more, please, no more love, no more romance I can't take it anymore." Crying into Steve's arms. "Please promise me, no more."
