Cedric has an incredible fondness for making dramatic entrances and looking his best. He has thin brown hair that reaches his shoulders and is usually too lazy to shave the stubble off his jaw. Even though he likes to be flashy, he usually only wears sweatpants and tanks. He is built very tall and muscularly, and takes pride in being, quote, "flawlessly hot" without working out or dieting. He has a not-so-proud scar across his nose from running into a tree when he was ten. During battle, Cedric will even paint his face and body in traditional Cherokee markings. His battle armor is extremely Native American as an homage to his heritage, consisting of armor clothes in animal skins as well as spear encrusted with rubies.

Cedric is incredibly outgoing and often does some pretty wild things to gain other's attention. He is the type to be "fashionably late," and quite literally, as he often likes to be dressed appropriately. He isn't traditionally funny, but he has a knack for making people smile, either through flattery or bad puns. Either way, he's satisfied knowing he made other's smile.

Growing up on a Cherokee reservation in Oklahoma, U.S., Cedric was always slightly unhappy with the lack of fine things his family had. Despite how much his grandfather wanted to teach Cedric humility, he never really earned that quality. His magic first came to him during a bonfire when he was 12, and whereas his mother panicked that Cedric's hands had caught fire, his grandfather laughed and said Cedric was only being possessed. Cedric's grandfather believed his fire manipulation magic was a sign from the Spirit Gods. His grandfather still writes letters to Cedric telling him that Zodiacs are a scam and that it is really a Hopi sun spirit possessing him. "Thanks for the encouragement, Gramps," is all Cedric ever writes back.

• Cedric's last name, Aniwaya, is an American version of his original Native American name, Ani'-Wah' Ya, or "protector of the people." His ancestors have long been chiefs of the Ani'-Wah' Ya clan, also known as the Wolf Clan, which is a very large and diverse clan that holds to protecting mankind and the earth alike. Cedric tells almost everyone this boastingly, as he does take a great amount of pride in it. Therefore, he's also very good at speaking Iroquois languages.
• Since he is from the Wolf Clan, and Yvonne often calls him puppy for his love of shinny & bright things, Cedric gets extremely angered over this pet name for him. He argues he is not a pup, but a wolf, and this often leads to fighting.
• He'a terrified of snakes, though he'll never admit it.
