Ramon has a rather slight build with deep olive colored skin. His hair is naturally a deep brown color, though he often has a friend bleach it to a dark blonde when he gets bored and wants an excuse to talk to them. He has large green eyes that Yvonne says makes him look too cute to hurt. He prefers to wear clothes that are a little baggy, usually hooded as well, that can help him hide in himself. Ramon's armor is similar to Ash's in the respect it is bulky and covered in jewels. However, Ramon prefers to fight with magic instead of weapons, similar to Farrah.

Ramon has an extremely high patience, though he has a low tolerance for disorder. He needs everything to be clean and quiet, or else he can't focus or sleep. He used to share a dorm with Ian, though most nights he will sneak out and sleep in Ora's room since she finds it too claustrophobic. He's very careful and sweet, usually too timid to hit someone in a fight without asking if they're okay afterwards. He typically is shamed for this--mostly by the public--but the other Human Zodiacs tend to keep him safe and shelter him. He has respect for his friends when they do this, though he feels more comfortable working alone and being the one to help rather than the one being protected.

Ramon lived in Portugal for most of his life as the oldest child of his family. Though he was the oldest, he grew up to be a bit shy and preferred to have more of a "sidekick" role as he didn't like the spotlight. Even though he hated a lot of attention, he volunteered to go into the Zodiac program, because he believed it would help his family out of poverty. He was promised his family was be looked after only if he agreed to the conditions of the Zodiacs--essentially giving them everything he hated, which was his fame. His youngest sibling is three years old, and he hates the fact he missed his littlest sister's birth. He makes sure he stays alive and healthy for his family at home.
