recently ive really gotten into kpop music like akmu, bts, mamamoo,,, u get the point. ive always liked kpop music since like the middle of last year just didn't stan any group in particular but as im starting to be into groups i want to acknowledge the amount of racism in the kpop community.
kpop stars are always so bleached. its like disgusting to them to be dark skinned on themselves. now not all kpop stars are always bleached but when we get unbleached kpop its literally a blessing A FUCKING BLESSING !
but anyways i was watching some bts videos and like ... i have no words. there is this one video that ill probably link to where yoongi introduces hoseok as the "dark kid" now either he didn't say that or whoever fucking translated this video always calls hoseok that "dark kid" because he wasnt bleached af??

colorism in korea is such a mess like dark skin is sososososo beautiful. its bashed at though and thats so sad considering (let me know if im getting this wrong) many koreans are tan/dark skinned. melanin man fuck. beauty standards in korea upset me sometimes. like this.
anyways, now onto cultural appropriation. kpop groups/stars have a way of ya know .... wanting to be like hip hop artists ...
