hello , recently one of my ex mutuals on twitter is always preaching about how her favs are unproblematic and woke. the thing is... they're all white, male, & cis. i don't have a problem with male feminists but if you don't do it right don't get angry if people wanna expose you.
popular feminist white men on twitter literally speak OVER any group that's struggling. ex: matt mcgorry. you heard it folks. your fave male from oitnb is totally an asshole. he cant go 5 minutes without saying "hey i'm a male feminist so you're scum.". like honestly if you wanna support feminist ideas then don't speak out over the group that needs it. this is irrelevant but i honestly feel like he only became a feminist to promote his acting lol. like there is no way he could be that douchey about feminism like that. put the fact that you're a feminist on a plaster and hang it up in your room then shut the fuck up. we get it, you're a feminist. move on.
next oh next is my favorite category of "hey im a male feminist but...". if you're a tumblr person you've probably had cole sprouse as your profile picture at some point. i dont know if cole claims to be a feminist but he sure does fit into the category. anyways, hey, we all thought he was cute until he started calling black lives matter supporters cannibals. how cute, how relatable, right? not to mention he denies his white privilege and calls it fake.
anyways... thats all i wanna say for male celebs
if you wanna be a white male feminist you should really fit into being an ally of all the categories somehow without speaking over them or only showing one side of feminism. being a feminist isnt just wanting bernie sanders back in the election. it is all about wanting equality for all races, sexualities, genders, disorders, physical types, etc.
this may be extra but goddamn i wanted to get this off my chest. its been bothering me every time i see someone praise cole sprouse for being woke.
anyways, don't claim ur cis male white feminist is woke because its probably not true. the end. peace !
