Chapter 15 || Cool Off

Knock! Knock! 

She sighed before opening the door. Empty. She gently closed it and leaned on it. She took her cell-phone out and dialled. 

The number you have dialled is out of coverage area. Please try your call later... 

Nakinig pa s'ya sandali sa voice prompt para maka-sigurado bago in-end ang call. 

"Papasok kaya s'ya?" tanong n'ya sa sarili. "Naka-off na naman ang cell-phone n'ya." 

"Girl!" 

Napalingon si Karylle ng biglang may tumili. Napangiti s'ya ng makita ang dumating. Anne! 

"Hi, Anne." Karylle said. "Welcome back." sabi n'ya sabay beso at yakap dito. 

"Gosh! I miss you, K." sagot ni Anne after ng hug. "How are you guys?" tanong pa nito habang patungo sila sa dressing room nito. 

"Heto, busy sa full schedule." sagot ni Karylle na umupo sa sofa. "Showtime, Cinderella rehearsals, plus ballet recitals." Attentive namang nakikinig si Anne. "And the boys," sabi ni Karylle at pasimpleng tumayo at tinungo ang slightly open na pinto. Pumwesto s'ya sa tabi n'yon at bahagyang sumulip bago nagpatuloy. "The boys are makulit as ever." Wala pa rin s'ya? 

"Yeah." Anne said in a chuckle. "I saw some clips on YouTube. Grabe! Ang lakas ng trip." 

Napatigil naman si Anne ng mapansing wala sa kanya ang attention ng kaibigan. She's sensing something with the way Karylle peeps through the door. She let another 30 seconds pass before speaking. 

"So, how's Vice?" Anne asked cheerfully. "Ikaw, Kayo I mean?" This got Karylle's attention. "Kamusta ang Vicerylle?" 

Karylle smiled. "The usual pa rin. Nagwawala pa rin ang mga babies dahil sa moments namin sa Sine Mo 'To." she said at bumalik sa sofa. 

"Really?" Anne asked. "Grabe talaga ang ViceRylle on stage 'no?" Karylle nodded. "How about the REAL ViceRylle? A little over a month with the real relationship, I mean, the thrill and all." 

Unti-unti namang naglaho ang mga ngiti ni Karylle at naging mailap ang mga tingin.
