"On your left." Steve breathed out as he ran past a guy who was running.

He was used to running everyday at five in the morning as a part of his routine after waking up from his bed and leaving without making a sound.

He remembered that he needed to buy new shirts for everyday because of his old ones were slightly torn from fighting mild, everyday crimes whenever he was walking around the city or when he exercised regularly or trained, it gets tighter and tighter every minute.

As Steve was walking through the mall, eye shopping, his eyes caught a familiar face walking past him.

"Hey-" He grabbed your arms.

"What? I'm on a mission!" You hissed, turning to face him.

"On a mission this early?" He raised an eyebrow. "Since when you wake up that early?"

"Natasha told me it is important and someone had to do it. She chose me since everyone is doing something else, which I really suspect. Anyways, I gotta do it. Bye." You turned on your heals to continue.

"Do you care to go to a movie that had just been released with me?" He fumbled with his fingers, following you.

"I don't have time. You see, I'm trying to do my mission." You stated the obvious. "Maybe later."

"But if we go late, there wouldn't be enough seats. I heard that the movie is pretty good!" He smiled, still following you.

"Then we could go on another day."

"You don't know what would happen until another day." He pressed.

You just ignored him and continued walking. You thought by ignoring him he would just give up and leave you alone. But no, he was persistent. Plus, you couldn't focus on the mission with the famous Captain America following you and attracting fans from everywhere.

"Ok, I'll go. But if you just let me do this mission, we could go earlier." You huffed.

He smiled, muttering a 'finally' with it.

"Who taught you doing that? The last I remember is, you're just a cinnamon roll."

"Tony did. He told me that's how he convinces pepper whenever he wants to do something stupid."

"No wonder how he managed to convince her to have your picture on a bag of doritos." You snickered.

"We don't talk about that anymore." He scowled, his eyebrows knotted.

"But you agreed when he asked you." You smirked.

"I thought it was a cool idea and then the memes or whatever you call it started to get around and people kept calling me Captain Doritos for a while. Now, I don't want that to resurface again." He frowned, blowing air through his nose.

You snickered again. He didn't know that you were the one who started the Captain Dorito thing.

Not a few seconds later, you could hear Natasha's voice through the comm in your ear saying, "(Y/N), we lost the targets. You have to return immediately."

"I lost 'em." You sighed, looking at Steve.

"Who? The targets?" He tried to hold back a laugh. "I guess that means you have plenty of time now." He grinned.

"Okay," you sighed, "okay, I'll go with you now."

Later that hour,

"Guys, (Y/N) agreed to go out with Steve. We did it!" Natasha said through the comm, smiling.

"Oh, finally! I thought I'd suffocate in this mask." Tony gasped for air after taking off his mask.

"Yeah, I thought it was going to take forever. I still haven't had my morning coffee." Clint whined, dashing to the first coffee shop in sight.

"Why can't I see?" Thor asked, bumping into a column.

"That's because you're wearing it the wrong way!" Tony exhaled, rubbing his nasal bridge.

"Well, that explains a lot."

So, this is my first chapter and I hope you like it.

Also, I hope I don't abandon this book like all the other projects I started and never finished. 🌚

Until then!
