One day, Bucky told you that he needed to do anything that would keep him busy for hours and keep his mind away from what HYDRA did to to him.

You thought about that a lot and couldn't find a solution for what he had said a few days ago until today.

You and Bucky went to a shop called Yarns and Needle to buy what you needed to teach him knitting. It is efficient and takes a few hours to finish a piece.

"So, what color do you want?" You asked Bucky while checking the needles to see if they were worthy buying it or not.

"A red one," He muttered, squishing a yarn with his hands. "But why are you asking me?"

"To teach you knitting." You looked at him with a smile. Your hands stuffed yarns with various colors into the basket and made a beeline to the cashier.

"Why would you teach me knitting?"

"Because you wanted to get your mind off of HYDRA." You took out your wallet, payed, and went straight to your car with Bucky on your left.

The drive back to the Avengers Tower didn't take you too long, and as soon as you stepped into the tower, you quickly ran to your room and grabbed your knitting supplies and headed to the living room, dragging Bucky with you.

"The first thing you need to know is how to make a knot." You gave him his chosen needle and piled the yarns up on the table.

"First," you pulled on the yarn, "You have to make a circle." You demonstrated.

"Like this?" He made the circle, using the end of the yarn.

"Yes. Then, place the string behind the circle so it cuts it in half and pull it, using the needle." You did exactly what you said and then added, "But make sure you grab the two ends with your other hand, so it doesn't slip."

And when Bucky copied your hands movements, you moved to the next step.

"And now, to make a chain, you have to hold the needle like this." You showed him.

"That's not right, isn't it?" His nose scrunched up.

"No." You laughed. "Here let me help you." You took his hands in yours and guided him. You could see his lips curling up into a cheeky grin.

Hours passed by with you and Bucky spending the time together, knitting and learning new steps and patterns. And by the end of the day, he learned how to knit scarfs and mittens.

Days later, Bucky spotted your back when you were walking in the hallway.

"Hey, (Y/N)." Bucky placed his free hand on your shoulder.

You turned around with a smile on your face.

"This is for you." He held a white scarf in your face.

"Aw, that's so sweet!" You smiled, putting it on.

"I knitted three, using the same pattern. White which is for you, red for me, and a blue one." His cheeks were slightly coated pink.

"And who's the blue one for?" You asked, curious to know.

"For Steve." He grinned.

Now, Steve has a new special hand-knitted scarf that he wears even though it was too warm for one anymore.
