It was the day of graduation and I was not looking forward to it. All my friends were here, and all I had to do was look up into the front row and see my dad and I would get all flustered.
My best friend Jay asked me if I was alright and I told him I was. He left me alone after that and I went to find my seat for the ceremony.
I still can't believe that after tonight, I'll be officially dating Jacob...and I won't have to call him dad any longer.
No one will understand that but I don't really care. The whole world can fuck right off for all I care.
He is mine and I am his.
The procession has started and I'm next up. Hearing my name get called, I walk across the stage, grab my diploma and head back to my seat to absolute silence.
I wasn't very liked at school so it doesn't matter to me.
All that matters is that in a few short hours, I'll be making love to my Jacob for the first time and we will be leaving the land of father and son behind us and walking into the land of lovers hand in hand.
