*the next morning*

"Violet? Violet?" I heard my dad say.

I opened my eyes and saw that I was still wrapped around Cameron's arms.

Shit what time is it?!

I untangled myself and went to my connected bathroom that had another door to go to another room.

I laid down on the carpet and pretended I was sleeping.

I heard someone open the door.

"Violet?" my dad said.

I sat up and rubbed my eyes.

I got up.

"What is it?" I said and then Cameron came out of my room.

I bit my lip.

"Cameron?" my dad said.

"Cameron?! Is my Cameron there?" we heard.

Suddenly Cameron's mom came up the stairs.

"Cameron, oh Cameron. Where were you?" she said.

And then she saw me.

She gasped.

"Oh my lord, what are you doing here?!" she said.

"I live here" I said, crossing my arms.

"She's my daughter" my dad told her.

"Oh my, she is so different from you and Nash boo. She's uneducated-" I cut her off.

"Are you trying to insult me?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Of course my Cammy is here, you are bad influence! You...you...skank!" she yelled.

I raised my eyebrows.

"I will not let you insult my daughter!" my dad said.

"I will never let Cameron come to this house ever again!" she said.

"C'mon Cameron" she said.

And she grabbed his hand.

"You smell like beer" she said to him.

"Moth-" Cameron got cut off.

"Listen you uneducated skank, stay away from my son or you will pay" she said.

"Are you threatening me?" I said.

She stayed quiet and they left.

"What the hell was that?!" my dad said, raising his voice.

"I tried to help him" I said, starting to cry.

"I didn't want his mom to yell or get him in trouble" I said.

"It's okay" my dad said and he wiped my cheek.

I scrunched my eyebrows together and walked to my room.

Before I got in my dad stopped me.

"Violet" my dad said and I turned around.

"Yeah?" I said.

"Where the hell is Nash?" he said.

All day, I couldn't stop thinking about Cameron.

Was he okay?

What could he be doing?

I went downstairs and my dad was on the phone.
