*weeks pass*

I was in the living room watching tv while I was texting Cameron.

"Hey" I heard someone say.

Probably Nash.

I ignored him and kept texting.

"Violet" he tapped my thigh.

I rolled my eyes and looked up.

"What?" I said.

"Don't you think it's late, dad hasn't come yet" he said.

I checked the time, it was about to be 12 in the morning.

"He's probably on his way. Have you called him?" I asked.

"Several times" Nash said and we heard the door open.

"Hey" my dad walked in.

"Dad, you had me worry sick. Where were you?" Nash asked him.

Gosh he sounded like a mom.

Imagine being his wife, would have choked myself.

Then my dad grinned.

"What?" Nash said.

"I have been promoted" my dad exclaimed.

"Omg really?!" Nash said, happy.

And they hugged.

I smiled.

My dad hasn't smiled since the funeral.

And believe it or not, it made me happy seeing him like that again.

When they pulled away, I got up.

"Congrats" I said and my dad hugged me and spun me.

I giggled and he put me down.

"We need to celebrate this" Nash said.

"Lets go out to eat" he said.

"Now?" my dad asked.

"It's 12 in the morning" my dad said.

"Lets go to Chipotle, they don't close till 3 am" Nash said.

(A/N::: IDK IF THEY DO. I'VE NEVER TASTED OR BEEN TO CHIPOTLE))))

"Okay, well lets go" my dad said.

And Nash grabbed the keys.

"Are you coming?" my dad asked me.

I stayed quiet.

"Sure" I said and we went outside.

*days later*

Tonight they were going to celebrate my dads promotion.

"They" is the police station, and almost the whole town.

It was a big deal being a state trooper in the town.

It was going to be fancy and everything.

Meaning, I had to wear an elegant dress, with heels.

Cringe.

I went to lunch and looked for Cameron.

When I spotted him, I ran to him.

And hugged him.

"Hey stud" I smirked.

"Hey hot stuff" he kissed me.
