I stay awake because I'm afraid to dream.

I smile because Im to strong to cry.

I laugh because it chases away the pain.

I lie awake because my dreams are haunted by your memory.

I smile because its slowly killing you.

I laugh because I have to.

I lie awake waiting for you to realise Im still here.

I smile to drive the disappointment away.

I laugh to keep from crying.

I lie awake because my mind won't shut down.

I smile because its better than explaining things.

I laugh because it helps with the act.

Im surviving just fine on my own, even if it's just a front.

Im a stronger person now thanks to you.

Im a better person because id never do what you did.
