Savior

He watched as I was beat up on.

Walked all over.

Pushed around.

He watched as I took the beatings day after day.

Night after night.

Week after week.

He watched for years as I hid away.

When I fell from the top.

During the self-loathing and depression.

He watched as I contemplated death.

As I attempted.

When I failed.

He watched it all because I never asked for help.

He watched me because I’m one of his children.

He watched me because he is my father.

He is my life.

He is my soul.

He is my savior.
