Getting Ready

It's been a couple days that I've been here and I'm really starting to get used to it. Granted I haven't gotten to remembering how to get to many places in the house just yet, but Jolene isn't ever too far away when I need to get somewhere. Holden and I have gotten to know each other a little better and I love that. I can feel our mate bond growing stronger each minute that we spend together.

We really only spend time together for meals, granted that's every meal, but still I don't feel like its nearly enough. If I had my way we'd always be together. He's became so much more open with me bit by bit.

Today is the day that I get introduced to the pack. I honestly done know what to expect. The only other time I have ever been introduced to a pack was when I was born, and at that it wasn't a real introduction. Every pack has their own traditions on how to introduce someone to the pack. I don't have a clue what the traditions for this pack is but I hope it's not something super weird, like running around and dancing naked in a circle.

Though I highly doubt that because Holden doesn't seem like the type to let that kind of thing slide in his pack. He's too... formal for that to happen.

There was a knock at the door breaking me out of my train of thought. I got off my bed and slipped my slippers on before walking to the door to answer it. I opened the door slightly and peeked out to see who was at my door. I breathed a sigh of relief to see that it was only Jolene.

"Well are you going to let me in or what?" She said with a teasing smile on her face.

I returned her smile and stepped out of the way to let her into my room, not worrying about the fact that I was only in a tank top, shorts, and my slippers.

"Holden is going to be busy today preparing for your introduction this afternoon so he told me to go ahead and just bring you your breakfast here."

I then noticed that she had carried in a tray full of food. I must of really been out of it to not notice the food. There was so much of it that there was no way that I could ever eat all of it, especially with how nervous I was about the introduction.

"And you're here to eat it with me right? With how nervous I am about everything there is no way that I'm going to be able to eat all of this on my own."

"I was hoping you were going to say that I didn't get to eat my breakfast this morning because I was in too much of a hurry to get here to start getting you ready."

We laughed and sat down on the bed and began to eat the food. We also talked about this afternoon, though she wouldn't give me many answers about what I should expect because she wanted to see the look on my face when I arrived.

We ended up talking about random things until we had to start getting ready for the introduction. While getting ready we listened to some music. Jolene decided that she was going to do my hair and makeup, which I didn't mind I kind of don't do those things very well. I'm the girl that walks around with her hair just brushed and some eyeliner and mascara on.

I took a shower to start. While I was in the shower I could hear Jolene singing away with Panic! At the Disco- The Emperor's new Clothes. I couldn't help but laugh at her. Though sadly the entertainment didn't stop the worry from coming to the surface while I stood in the shower. I honestly couldn't help but worry about the ceremony. Maybe I should be worried?

I quickly stopped my thoughts and finished up in the shower really quick before getting out and drying off. I wrapped a towel around my hair and put on my robe and headed out to Jolene.

She had many different things all set out on my dresser. She started with my hair first, taking the towel out and blow drying it. Then she straightened it.

For my makeup she just did some simple contouring and light natural colors for the eye shadow and lip stick, nothing too much.

Finally, it was time to get dressed. My heart started beating faster. I looked through my closet trying to find something that would be appropriate enough for me to wear tonight, but I couldn't find anything. There was a knock at the door and Jolene yelled that she was going to get it before I could even think about doing it myself.

I heard her say a few words to whoever was outside the door and then shut the door. I walked out of the closet to see what she was doing.

"Who was at the door?" I asked.

"Just Jaxon, Holden sent him to bring something to you."

It was then that I noticed that there was a garment bag laying on the bed. I slowly walked over to it hoping that it was something I could wear to the ceremony.

I slowly opened the bag to find a beautiful long silver dress that shined like it was actually made of silver. I gasped. It had a sweetheart neckline and only one strap that was about three inches thick, it was very form fitting.

I slowly took the dress out of the bag and slipped it on. I couldn't believe how wonderful it looked on me, and felt. I turned towards Jolene and spun in a slow circle for her.

"Wow. Holden really knows how to pick a dress for a girl. Do you think that he could pick out all of my outfits for me? With his taste I would be the best dressed at every situation." She said, not really joking.

I laughed." I don't think he would have any time for me if he did that. He's already busy enough as it is." I said.

"Oh honey, I'm sure as time goes on things will change a little bit and you will end up happier than you ever imagined. The Alpha really cares for you, everyone who has seen him since you came around says so. I'm sure even Coral has seen it." She said the last part with an evil smirk on her face causing me to smile.

"I believe you, it's just kind of hard to really understand that when he's always working, not saying that I don't expect him too, but I'm just being a little selfish and wanting to spend more time with my mate. Meals are nowhere enough time to spend with him. I just feel like I don't know anything about him, I mean I haven't even seen his eyes!" I took a deep breath and looked over to Jolene, who had surprisingly stopped mid cleaning.

"You'll understand everything soon enough, don't worry."

Before I had a second to ask her what she meant there was a knock at the door.

"It's time for the ceremony." Someone said from the other side of the door.

I took a deep breath. Jolene came over and took my hand in hers and gave it a light squeeze.

"It's show time." She said.

She leads me out of the room and down the stairs and towards the back door. We stopped once we got to the back door before we opened it and walked out into the crowd and started the Ceremony of my introduction to my new pack.

"Don't worry, everything's going to be wonderful." Jolene said with one last squeeze to my hand before the doors opened.
