I know many of you guys think that Gandalf could use the Eagles to take the One Ring to Mordor. This was not an option, though, since the mission relied in stealth and secrecy. A big eagle entering Mordor would have been spotted right away and brought down, delivering Sauron the Ring at his very doorstep.Just sayin...
