I just waved at Monish and proceeded with Disha towards the counter to place our order.
I did not want to look at Monish, lest there would be an awkward eye-contact…
But somehow I could not help it.
I looked at him and SMILED.
As the deepest cell of my heart had expected, he stood up and came towards me.
I greeted him and introduced DISHA to MONISH…!!!
I never thought that moment would prove to be such a .. Well, forget it…
I’m not supposed to talk about Disha.
I should talk only about me.
So yes, Monish was courteous enough to ask us to join them.
I did not want to do that ‘cause it would be very awkward .....but before I could say anything, Disha blurted out – “Rimsha, Waise bhi hum bore ho rahe hai… Lets join them…”
That day, I realized Disha was way too outgoing.
She was a bit too extrovert for me…
I had no other option at that point of time except agreeing to Disha.
Coincidentally Disha and Monish both were from Ahmedabad.
…And it was my mistake ... I had thought Monish’s friends were WEIRD…
But they were very nice and friendly to us. DECENT too!!!!
I failed to notice it at that time, but today when I retrospect that moment, I can make out that Disha and Monish had gelled pretty well in their first meeting itself.
