After a moment of extremely awkward silence, I decide to ask the dumbest of questions I could think of right now.

"Are you Josh Dun?" I say so quickly that I doubt if he can even understand. I keep my eyes wide open the whole time staring at his face.

"Um. Yes, and you are?" He asked back, jokingly and nervously.

"I'm... I'm Violet. I'm sorry, are you, like, the same Josh I've been..." unable to finish my question I observe his expression, waiting for some kind of reaction.

"Yes. Are you mad?" He asked, guilt written in his eyes.

"No, no, no! This is just... I didn't expect that, I mean, you. I didn't expect you to be... well, you."

"I'm so sorry I didn't tell you, I should've but I was scared you wouldn't talk to me anymore."

"You two should really hurry up. Either in, or out, Josh", the nurse says, a bit annoyed.

"Yes, I forgot, sorry. Do you want to come in?"

"I thought you'd never ask" Josh answers with a smile of relief. We both go inside and get to my room, Josh walking right behind me, not bothering to wait for the nurse to follow us. I sit on my bed criss cross and pat the space in front of me, inviting him to join me. Josh takes the offer after putting the envelope on the nightstand.

"So, I heard you don't have any coffee here and I was just walking by my favourite cafe" he says, offering me one of the cups. I take it gladly, I miss the taste so much.

"This is so good, thank you. How did you know we don't have coffee? I mean, actually, how did you know I was here?"

"Well, that wasn't really hard. It's the closest hospital to your place and you gave me your address, remember?" He smirks proudly at how smart he sounds. "And they usually don't serve coffee in places like here."

"Hello there, are you Violet's father?" We both hear and look at the door to see Abbie, walking to the room in just the best moment. She doesn't let Josh answer though and keeps talking. "It's so nice to meet you, sir, you should be proud of your daughter, she's a really great person! I'm Abbie, by the way, I share the room with Vi and the girls. It's lovely in here, isn't it?" A kind smile doesn't leave her face for a second as she finally stops her speech to take a breath.

"Yes, it is really lovely. And I'm not Violet's father, just a friend.
I'm Josh, and nice to meet you too, Abbie." Josh finally gets to answer and stands up to shake the girl's hand. A moment after he just watches with amusement a look of confusion turning into a huge grin on her face.

"So you're the Josh Violet talks to all the time? He's really handsome, Vi, now I get why you want to be with him, you two would be the perfect couple! Did you ask her out yet, Josh? Don't forget to invite me to your wedding, I want to see it so much. I'm sure it'll be really special, just look at..."

"Abbie?" I say, interrupting her chain of thoughts when my face can't get more red anymore. "We're not planning any weddings, you know, we're just friends, okay?"

"Oh. Sorry. I just saw how you smile when you talk with him, I really thought you were together because you should. I didn't mean to embarass you, Violet, I'm so sorry" she says, changing her mood completely to holding back tears. "I should leave you alone, you probably want to talk in private, without my rambling." After that, she just leaves, ignoring me calling her to apologize.

"I'm sorry about her. She likes to talk a lot." I say, avoiding Josh's gaze.

"That's fine. She's funny though, I bet you don't really get bored in here" he smirks.
