"Yeah, well, look at me now." I say, laughing a bit. "I mean, I'm being flooded with Abbie's chirping while having a coffee with Josh freaking Dun."
"Oh. The coffee was the first part of the package, by the way." He says, reaching for his envelope. I watch him with confusion.
"So you actually made a package, huh? I thought you being here was already enough" I answer smiling.
"Well, they said I was too heavy at the post office so I had to think of something else" he smirks and his eyes squint in an even more adorable way then what I saw on the pictures. "So, here's part two and you'll get the third part once you agree on this one" Josh says teasingly, handing me the envelope. As I open it, I see two tickets for the twenty one pilots show in NY and paper bracelets with "VIP PASS" written on them. "Just in case you have a friend to go with. Will you come? Because it'd be sick if you did."
"I guess, well, it's soon enough so I don't know if my ribs will be able to take it" I say, laughing but also sad, because it's true. I'm taking a shitload of pain meds but my chest still hurts at a slightest movement.
"You know, VIP means you don't have to jump around in the crowd. You can watch from the backstage if you want to" he answers with hope in his voice. "But that's completely up to you, I don't wanna push you. What about your ribs, do they still hurt?"
"No, well, just a little" I don't want to worry him even more the first time he sees me. "I'm taking really good painkillers."
"That's good. I guess." I can see his eyes shifting from my face to his legs, almost as if he felt guilty.
"What's wrong?" I ask, terrified that I did the exact opposite of what I wanted.
"No, it's nothing" he looks at me again with sadness in his eyes. A moment later he changes his mood completely and smiles. "You look almost exactly how I imagined, you know."
I raised my eyebrows with amusement. "Really? I wish I could say the same." He laughs at my comment.
"Well, now at least you know I'm not the old dude from Family Guy."
"I think I'm gonna call you Herbert sometimes though."
