Chapter six

Riley's POV:

I groan in pain as I feel someone jumping on top of me, waking me up. I open my eyes and see Auggie laying on top of me.

"Morning riles. Where were you last night?" Auggie asks. He climbs off of me and sits down next to me. I sit up and run my hand through my tangled hair.

"I went to a party with Maya." I say as I lean my head against his.

"Oh." is all he says. He looks down at his lap and plays with his hands. I lift up my head and look at his face. He looks sad.

"What's wrong Augs?"

"Nothing, it's just I never get to see you anymore. You are always in your room or you go out with Maya. I can tell that you aren't happy Riles. I miss my big sister." He says, his voice quiet and sad.

"Auggie..." I wrap my arms around his small eight year old body and he wraps his arms around my waist.

"I miss hanging out with you too. But things for me aren't as easy as they were in middle school. In middle school, everyone knew my name or who I was. But now I am just another face in the crowd." I sigh. I look at his face and see that he still sad.

I know what will cheer him up. "You know what we should do? We should go get some ice cream and hang out." I say, a small smile on my face. My smile grows bigger when I see Auggie's face light up and a huge smile appears on his face.

"YAY! I'm going to go get dressed! Thanks Riley!" He says happily. He hugs me one more time before running out of my room.

I hop out of my bed and walk into my closet. I pull out a purple sweater, a white tank to go underneath, new undergarments and a pair of dark skinny jeans. I walk into the bathroom, get dressed, brush my teeth and comb my hair. I decide to just leave it down, like usual. I walk back into my bedroom. I apply some makeup on my face before putting on my black converse.

I pick up my phone and shove it in my back pocket. I also grab my wallet and place it in the other pocket.

I walk down the hall to Auggie's room and lean against the door frame. I smile as I see Mr. Googly sitting on his bed. He still is such a little kid.

"Ey, Augster, did you tell mom that I am taking you out for ice cream." I ask Auggie. He zips up his jacket and shakes his head 'no.'

"Mom is at work. She said she had some big case she had to get started on or something. I don't really know what she said. She left right before I woke you up. And dad is working at the table. He said he was preparing his lesson plans for next week." Auggie says as he slips on his shoes.

"Oh okay. Well, did you tell dad?" I ask. He nods.

*ding*

*ding*

I pull my phone out of my pocket to see two text messages. One from Maya, the other from Farkle?

I unlock my phone and read Maya's text first.

From: Peaches - Hey riles. I just wanted to let you know that I can't hang out today. Major Hangover. Sorry about ditching you last night for Lucas. Anyways, I am going to go to bed. Huge headache. Love you pumpkin. ttyl. <3

To: Peaches - It's okay, I met someone and we hung out. I'll tell you more later. Hope you feel better soon. Love you too peaches. ttyl <3

I open Farkle's message. Auggie and I walk out the house and we start walking to Topanga's.

From: Sparkly Farkley - Hey sunshine

To: Sparkly Farkley - Hey sparkles.

From: Sparkly Farkley - can we hang out somewhere? I kind of wanna get out of the house and Zay isn't answering my texts.

I look down at Auggie, "Hey Aug?"

"Yea?" he asks, looking up at me.

"Do you mind if my new friend Farkle gets ice cream with us?" I ask. He smiles and says, "Will it make you happy if he comes?"

I smile back, "Yea, kind of. He's nice."

"Then yes, he can come with us." He says as I nod, a smile on my face.

To: Sparkly Farkley - Yea sure. Me and my brother are going to Topanaga's right now. We are about ten minutes away.

Farkle replies almost instantly.

From: Sparkly Farkley - okay, thanks sunshine. See ya there. :)

I smile and slip my phone back into my pocket.

"Is your boyfriend coming?" Auggie says, a sly smirk on his face.

I roll my eyes, "He's not my boyfriend Auggie."

"Sureeeeee he isn't." Auggie says smiling at me.

"He's just a friend. What about you and Ava? How is your guys' relationship going? Still married?" I ask.

Ava lives across the hall and they have been "married" for two years now. But to them it's I think 60 years? I'm not sure.

"Yea. We are. 130 years now." Auggie says. Dang, I was way off. "Riley?"

"Yea Auggie?"

"Do you think that Ava and I will together forever? Or do you think there will be other people?" He asks me. I sigh.

"Well, there will be other people, but if you guys really love each other, you will always find your way back to each other." I say with a reassuring smile. He smiles and nods.

"Thanks Riley."

"You're welcome, Auggie."

So, I edited this chapter a bit, I didn't really like the way I wrote it, so yea. Sorry if I make some of you guys mad by editing this chapter. :/
