WARNINGS: LANGUAGE AND MENTIONS OF ABUSE

The Joker sat in his old warehouse, flipping through the channels. He was bored. There had been absolutely nothing to do. He finally settled on watching the news.

"And tomorrow's forecast calls for sunny skies with a chance of showers." The news' stupid weather man said. The Joker rolled his eyes. He didn't care about the weather. He never went out during the day anyway.

"And now, for today's top story..." The anchorman announced, "Today, one of Gotham's most wanted criminals was captured. Authorities believe that this is the person responsible for the murders and robberies."

A picture of the most gorgeous woman The Joker had ever seen popped up in the corner of the screen. She had (H/C) hair that fell, perfectly framing her lovely features. Her (E/C) eyes sparkled with a deadly feeling to them. She was perfect.

"This woman, (Y/N) (L/N), has been arrested on multiple occasions. She, however, has managed to escape every prison they've put her in." The anchorman sipped his coffee, before his assistant came onto the screen and whispered in his ear. The anchorman paled as she scurried off the set. The anchorman cleared his throat before speaking again. The Joker was now intently watching.

"She escaped. Again. Authorities aren't even sure how. Reports state that there was a puff of smoke, a loud bang and she was gone. Two officers were handling her are now dead. We will have more on this story as soon as we can." The anchorman said, before the network went offline.

The Joker sat there in silence. He sat there, thinking. This girl was magnificent. Smart and deadly. He had to have her. And he would.

You had just escaped. Again. These cops were too dumb for their own good. Its miracle they were able to arrest as many people as they do.

You were on the run, once again. Why can't they just leave you alone? It's not easy to move through this city unnoticed. Cameras and people everywhere.

You jumped through the window of an abandoned apartment. From there, you'd try to live a normal life. That was your intentions, anyway. This life wasn't the one you chose, but the one your abusive mother did.

She threatened to do awful things if you didn't go steal this and that. When you were 10, you ran away from her, and have been living off your skills ever since.

You opened your small, dirty fridge and pulled out a drink. You popped the cap and drank until it was gone. You sighed before setting the bottle on the small table to your left.

"A nice girl like you shouldn't drink like that..." a male voice said from the shadows. You whipped around, ready to defend yourself. Two large men were standing in the corner of the room. Between them, a sickly pale man stood. His green hair contrasted with his ghostly white skin. He was rather attractive, if not intimidating.

"(Y/N)! So nice to finally meet you in person! You look even more amazing!" The pale man said, smiling at you. You glanced at the floor, then back to him.

"H-how do you know my name? What are you? Are you here to arrest me!?" You asked becoming more and more angry and confused. The man raised his hands for silence.

"My dear, there isn't a soul in Gotham who doesn't know you." He said dreamily, "And no, I'm not gonna arrest you. I'm gonna do the opposite."

You raised an eyebrow. The man stepped forward and signaled his men to lower their weapons.

"You still didn't answer one of my questions. Who are you?" You said, deciding to stand your ground. You wanted to signal that you weren't going down without a fight.

"Me? Oh, how silly of me." He said with an over dramatic giggle, "I am The Joker, sweetheart."

You looked him up and down.

"And you want to help me?" You asked. The Joker held a finger to your lips.

"You ask far too many questions." He said, "I'm going to make this short and sweet. I like you, (Y/N), and I want you on my team."

You stared at him for a while. His face seemed frozen in that grin. You eventually nodded slowly.

The Joker smiled widely, and pulled you into a hug, kissing your neck.

"I knew you'd make the right decision. This will be the start of something great, my Dear!" He said, and he pit an arm around your shoulder, leading you out of the apartment.

"Wait! My stuff!" You tried to escape his grip. The Joker held on, though.

"Not to worry, it already in the car." He said. You sighed in relief.

"This may sound crazy, but I think I love you!" The Joker grinned. You smiled.

"Everything you say is crazy. And I've only been talking to you for fifteen minutes." You said, "But I think I love you, too."
