promise. Enjoy the story, my Heathens! (Sorry, I just love TØP.)

You pulled up to the horrible looking building, regretting your decision to take this job. Your editor wanted you to interview a "patient" in the asylum.

You agreed at the opportunity and arranged an interview with Harleen Quinzel, or, Harley Quinn.

You got out of your sleek (F/C) car and walked up to the gate. You punched in the access code you were given and the large gates opened. About a dozen guards were standing there waiting. In front of them, an African American woman with a commanding presence stood.

"Um, hello?" You asked feeling more and more uneasy.

"Hello." The woman said, "You must be the reporter. I'm Amanda Waller."

You shook her hand and after a few minutes of safety discussion, she led you inside. You walked the seemingly endless hallways and corridors, passing too many guards to count.

It was silent. That made it even more disturbing. Amanda stopped at a metal door, and opened the door.

"In you go. If anything seems off, or she starts acting up, just give us the signal and we'll get her out." She said. You nodded.

"Thank you, Ma'am." You said before you walked in. The sound of the creaking door closing sent shivers up your spine.

The only things in the room were a small table and two chairs, a flickering light, and a tinted window. You sat in the chair and prepared for the worst.

A few minutes past, when you heard a loud BANG from another door you hadn't noticed before. There was the sound of a man cursing and a woman laughing.

The small door opposite you burst open, revealing two guards struggling with a blonde woman in a straight jacket, who was laughing uncontrollably. You swallowed.

The two guards forced her into the chair, and strapped her down before leaving. You were alone with her.

You cleared your throat nervously.

"Hello. My name is (Y/N) (L/N), and I'm a journalist for the Gotham newspaper." You said. Harley smiled.

"Hiya! I'm Harley Quinn! Nice to meet ya, Hon!" Harley said. She tried to reached her hand out, but remembered the jacket. She huffed, bit grinned at you.

"They didn't tell me the journal girl would be so cute!" She winked at you. You blushed and picked up your pen and pad of paper.

"Uh, thanks. Now shall we begin?" You asked. Harley nodded eagerly.

"Why are you in the asylum?" You asked.

"Well, it's kinda a long story... but to make it short, I used to be a psychiatrist. Then, I met Mr. J..." she sighed, before becoming serious, "but he's a thing of the past."

You nodded as you wrote her words down.

"OK, next question, what are the living situations here like?" You asked. Harley puckered her cheeks.

"Bad." She said, "I don't have it as bad as some of the others. Just a cage."

You nodded.

"And how are the others doing?"

Harley sighed and shifted so her legs were dangling off on side of the chair.

"We don't like it here. They treat us like animals." She said, looking at the floor. You felt a pang of guilt and sadness for her.

You asked a few more questions, finding yourself growing more attracted to Harley. She was funny, smart and gorgeous. Something told you she was feeling the same way.

You ended the interview and smiled.

"Well, thank you Harley!" You said with a grin. She smiled back.

"Pleasure, Journal Girl!" Harley said, "Thank you for the opportunity of meeting a lovely person like you!"

You blushed and gathered your things. The large metal door opened and you stepped out. Harley gave you one last wink before she was dragged out of the small room.

On the drive home, you thought about what happened. There was an obvious connection between you and her. You honestly hoped you see her again.
