I lay in bed, my whole body tense as I wait to hear the dreaded sound of the thunder to rubble again. My eyes are staring blankly at the white ceiling above, Harry snoring lightly at my side.

My breathing was heavy and my heart was racing faster than ever. I clench my eyes shut, the horrible sound ringing in my ears. I grasp tightly onto the sheets of the bed, my whole body frozen in fright.

"Y/N?" Harry stirs slightly, wrapping an arm over the front of my stomach.

"Yes?" I say, my voice shaking when I honestly didn't mean for it to.

Harry sits up, looking down at me with tired eyes. A look of worry washes over his beautiful face before he pulls my stiffened body up close to his bare chest. I nuzzle into the inked skin on his chest, him wrapping his large arms around me which calms me in the slightest bit.

Feeling his bare skin against mine warms me, making my shivers slowly disappear. "What's wrong?" He asks, concern in his voice. We've only lived together for a total of four months so little things such as me hating thunder storms he doesn't yet know.

"I just hate thunder and lightening." I smile wirily, looking up at his green eyes which I can see from the street light bursting though the gap in the curtains.

"Y/N," Harry sighs, giving my body a squeeze for comfort "why didn't you wake me?" He asks, chuckling slightly. I can hear his laugh echoing in his chest with my ear pressed to it. I smile, my heart warming at the beautiful sound.

"You have work tomorrow, you need the rest. I can deal with it, I'll just have to-" Harry shushes me with a kiss, me only realising I'm rambling again when his soft lips press to mine. I kiss him back, smiling as he tucks my hair behind my ears.

Harry pulls away from the passionate kiss, looking at me in the eyes. "I'd rather you be sound asleep than sit up listening to the thunder go off." He says honestly. I smile shyly, looking down as he pulls the duvet right up underneath our chins. I laugh, cozying up as close as possible to him whilst he kisses the end of my nose.

The thunder sounds again, the bright light of the lightening shining though the thin curtains. I shut my eyes closed tight, burying my head into Harry's warm chest, he hold the back of my head, kissing my hair repeatedly until again, there's only pitter-pattering sound of the rain hitting the roof.

Harry shuffles down on the mattress, pulling the bed sheets up over out head. I can barely see his face anymore it's so dark but I can tell he's starring at me. I laugh, covering his eyes with my hands.

"Stop judging me!" I whine playfully, him removing my hands.

"I'm not judging you, I'm glad I can calm you when you were so scared." He's right. Harry doesn't judge, he sees the good in people, never the bad. That's one of the traits I love so much about the boy, he loves me for me. He doesn't care how childish it must seem being afraid of a thunder storm. He simply doesn't care.

"Hey, I love you" he smiles, brushing his thumb over my cheek softly.

"I love you too" I smile back, leaning forward to leave a kiss on his plump lips.

The thunderstorm calms within an hour and me and Harry fall asleep to the sound of the rain pouring outside, our legs tangled in one big knot and his big arms holding me securely the whole night.
