As Mary opened her eyes to the morning light, she couldn't help but think that everything that had happened yesterday had been a complete dream. Touching her lips, she knew that these lips remembered and that everything that had happened with Jonathan at the lake and the kiss, indeed did happen.

She smiled like a crazy girl as she tossed around in her bed, not believing what she had done. Didn't she forgive him way too easily? That's what she kept on thinking about, but then remembering all that had happened to him and the fact of how guilty he felt over Megan losing her unborn baby, she couldn't help but want to help Jonathan forget all of it.

She sat up on her bed, and thought of ways that she could prove that Megan is completely over everything and is happy with her current life. An idea was forming in her mind when suddenly she heard her door bell ring. She got up from her bed and went to open the door. She looked out to see who it was, but not seeing anyone she opened the door. When she opened the door she came face to face with the familiar lips that only yesterday were pressed against hers, but as she heard Jonathan scream surprise and was still waiting for her reaction, she blushed at how much she was staring and hoped that he didn't notice. Clearing her throat she said, "I see that you still haven't lost that bad habit of randomly dropping by at someone's house." "And I see that you haven't moved." He replied with a smile. She hoped that he didn't think that she didn't move because of him. Because that was totally the case even if she had hated to admit it. There were days that she hoped that he would suddenly appear just like he did now in front of her house. "So can I come in?" Jonathan asked still waiting outside. Deciding to tease him a bit, Mary replied, "Well, what will I get in return for letting you in?" Pretending to think really hard about what he had to offer, he snapped his fingers and said back, "Food?" She pouted and said, "You know I'm not always hungry. If this keeps on going, I'm going to gain weight. And-" Cutting her off short by placing a kiss on her forehead, he let himself in as he said, "And of course myself what else could you ever want." Mary chuckled as she saw him moving around her kitchen like it was his own.

Mary took a seat and asked, "So what do we have for breakfast." "Bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich." He replied as he started taking out the groceries he had bought knowing that Mary's fridge wouldn't have much to offer. "While I get the sandwich ready, have some of these muffins." Mary looked at the muffins and picked up the one that looked the yummiest. Taking a bite out of it and savoring its taste, she turned towards Jonathon who was already frying the bacon, and said, "Who made these? I know you didn't" Jonathan laughed and said, "I knew there is no tricking the taste buds of an ex-famous food critic." Rolling her eyes she said again, "So who made these?" Now finishing up putting the sandwiches together, Jonathon replied, "Megan. She loves baking. I hate to admit it, but she is better than me in baking and making desserts. Even though I was the one who started teaching her first when she ended up locking herself away in her little apartment. I thought she could use a hobby to keep her entertained. But before I knew it she had become even better than me. Now she even talks about opening her own bakery." Mary shakes her head in acknowledgment as she finished her muffin. As Jonathan placed the sandwiches on the table, Mary abruptly got up from her seat and pointing at the muffins, she asked, "Where does Megan whatever live?" Jonathan giving her a confusing look replies, "Megan Stevens lives in Cleveland. Why do you ask?" Sitting back down as a smiled danced on her lips she replied, "Just so that I know where you are the next time you disappear on me." Jonathan paused and put his sandwich down and looked at Mary's eyes and said with complete seriousness, "I will never leave you again without a single word." Mary smiled back at him and said back, "I will hold you on to that then." Jonathan leaned over the table and kissed Mary's lips. Sitting back on his chair and taking his sandwich off from his plate he said with a mischievous, "You taste like blueberry muffin." "And you taste like bacon." Mary said back as she gave him a little wink.

During work, in his break Jonathan had decided to pay Mary a little visit in her office, but he was told by Jake that Miss Maltz was out on a business matter and would be back tomorrow. Jonathan couldn't believe that she had left to go somewhere without telling him anything. Then he chuckled to himself knowing that this might be her revenge for the time that he left without any notice. So he simply thought nothing more of it.
