Jasmine's POV:

"You should come down and visit Hagrid. Today's the day the ministry is...well. Hagrid will need all support he can get." Hermione said as we walked out of the great hall. I knew today was the day Buckbeak was going to be killed, and it made me angry. If I didn't hate Draco before I certainly do now. "I can't, I have so much homework to do before the end of term. I'm so sorry guys, you three go on without me. Give Hagrid my condolences." I said. "Are you still doing lessons with Snape?" Harry asked curiously. "I thought they ended after holiday." Ron said. "They did. I just have a lot more work than you guys; I am in fourth year." I said with slight amusement. "If that's how much work we'll have next year....it's going to be the death of me. I can barely catch up now." Ron said. "You could barely catch up first year." Hermione said, which made us laugh. "We'll see you latter Jasmine." Harry said. "See ya." I replied. I made my way to the library and got cracking on my books. Hours went buy as I studied and wrote essays, until I got stuck on one particular Defense Against the Dark Arts question. I gathered my belongings and headed towards the D.A.D.A classroom in hopes to ask for professor Lupin's help. I knocked on the door, but there wasn't an answer. 'I guess I should go find Severus.' I thought to myself. I headed down to the dungeons and found and empty potions room. "Where could the both of them be?" I asked out loud. I walked out of the dungeons and decided to walk the halls. 'They couldn't have gotten too far away.' I thought to myself. "Are you looking for someone?" I heard someone ask. I turned around and saw nearly headless Nick floating near me. "Actually I am. Have you seen professor Lupin or professor Snape? I need help with my homework." I said. "As a matter of fact, I have. The both of them were leaving the castle oddly enough." He replied. "Thanks Sir. Nicholas." I said kindly. "You're welcome." He said with a smile before he floated away. I was tempted to go outside and find at least one of them, but I decided against it. If I got caught out after curfew....especially with Sirius Black on the loose, I'd get in so much trouble. I decided to head to my dorm room and finish my homework in the morning. I got ready for bed and fell into a deep dreamless sleep. I woke up the next morning to utter chaos. People were running around, banging on doors, yelling, etc. I got up and changed before I headed down to the common room. "You better hurry to the hospital wing. Your friends have gotten themselves beaten and bruised." A young Slytherin boy said. I hurried out of the common room and made my way towards the hospital wing. When I walked in I saw Ron laying on one of them beds with his leg wrapped up. On the other side of the room Harry was laying on a bed as well. Hermione was sitting on Harry's bed, trying to wake him up. "What happened to you three?" I asked curiously. "It's a long story." Hermione said. Harry woke, and they exchanged a few words. Dumbledore walked in and cast a look to all of us before he spoke. "Jasmine, Severus is looking for you. He told me to tell you to meet him in the astronomy tower." He said with a sparkle in his eye. "Okay, see you guys later." I said with a smile before I left. I headed to the astronomy tower and found Severus standing there, looking out at the school grounds. "You wanted to see me." I said as I reached the top of the tower. "Yes, Jasmine....nearly headless Nick informed me that you were looking for me last night. I'm sorry for not being there when you needed me." He said as he walked towards me. "It's fine Severus. I just needed help with my homework." I replied. "You? Help with homework?" He said astonished. "I know. It was an oddly worded question for D.A.D.A class; I got it though. I had to look in a different book for the answer." I said. "Good." He replied. "Where were you last night?" I asked curiously after a moment of comfortable silence. "It's a long story." He said. "Well, I wouldn't mind listening to it one day when we have enough time." I said with a slight smile. "Of course." He said with a smile as well. Suddenly something very strange happened; I couldn't quite put my finger on it. "Is it just me....or do you feel a sense of deja vous?" I asked curiously. "Actually...I do." Severus replied with furrowed brows. "Anyway, come here." I said as I hugged him. "What's this for?" He asked curiously as he wrapped his arms around me. "For being an amazing friend." I replied. "You're an amazing friend too, Jasmine. Without you I wouldn't have a living reason to keep fighting. I know that sounds odd, but I'll explain when I'm ready." He said sweetly. "Severus, you take as long as you want. I understand that your past brings back bad memories; you told me that when you explained your feelings towards Harry." I said as we pulled apart. "You're willing to wait?" He asked curiously. "Of course. I'll wait as long as I have to." I said with a smile. I felt so happy with Severus, and that's something I haven't felt with anyone else. I am happy with my Gryffindor crew, but none of them can make me feel like Severus can.

~ Time Jump - End Of The School Year ~

"Promise you'll write to us." Hermione said to Harry. "You know I can't." Harry said sadly. "Well, you won't have to put with them for the entire summer if you come see the Quidditch world cup with us." Ron said. "Speaking of summer, will you write us?" Hermione asked me curiously. "Of course, I would feel completely lonely if I didn't write you guys. And I'll try to make it to the Quidditch world cup with you all; I think that would be pretty fun, even if I don't really like Quidditch." I said. "How could you say that?" Harry asked, which made us laugh. "We should go get packing; we leave tomorrow." Ron said as we left the library. "It's gonna be strange going home. This place has become second home, and I have my second family." I said as I gave them slight hugs. "I know what you mean. I think we all feel that way when we have to leave for summer break." Harry said. "Well, I'll see you three later. There's someone I have to see." I said with a smile. "See ya." They said at the same time. I headed to the potions classroom and hoped Severus was still there. I knocked on the door and it opened a few minutes later. "Jasmine, come in." He said with a bright smile. "I see you've started packing." I said. "Yeah, another year gone. But this year has been far more special than I could have imagined." He said with a slight smile gracing his face. "Why's that?" I asked curiously. "Because of you." He said as he turned to face me. "Aww, Severus." I said as I hugged him. "Are you going to write to me?" He asked curiously. "I have to if you wanna give me lessons over summer." I said with a slight laugh. "No, I mean for non learning purposes." He said as we pulled away slightly. "Sure, why wouldn't I?" I asked with furrowed brows. "I don't know, I just....have a fear of losing you." He said with slight sadness in his dark eyes. "You'll never lose me Severus, I promise." I said with a small smile. He furrowed his brows as if he was thinking of something, and I wondered what was going on in his head. "You'll sit by me when we go to the Order meeting? Won't you?" He asked. I almost forgot about that, but I was glad I had him to remind me. At least I had a month to prepare for it before I had to meet the other Order members. "Absolutely." I replied, which made him smile. We sat and enjoyed each other's company for a while before I went to my dorm and packed my things. After dinner me and my Gryffindor friends hung out in the courtyard talking and laughing. The day seemed to fly by, and before we knew it it was time for bed. We went our Separate ways and I was pulled into a broom cupboard.....again. "You really need to stop doing that." I said to Severus, which made him chuckle. "Sorry." He said. "It's okay." I replied as I shook my head at him. "Jasmine, you have to promise me something." He said. "What's that?" I asked curiously. "Promise you won't go out trying to find yourself another best friend." He said with a goofy smile, which melted me heart. "I won't, I promise." I said with a smile. He wrapped his arms around me, and I just enjoyed his lovely hugs. I knew I was going to miss my Gryffindors, the classes, Hogwarts itself, but what I'll miss the most...is Severus Snape.
