Jasmine's POV:

"Do you have everything you need?" My mom asked curiously. "Yes mom, I'm not spending a week there." I said with a slight laugh. "Okay honey, I just wanted to make sure. For the past month I've been writing Hermione, Ron, Fred, Gorge, and Neville. They've been telling me how good their summer has been going, along with talking about the Quidditch world cup. Ron told me his father bought extra tickets for me, which I was grateful for. I couldn't wait to see my friends again. What I really couldn't wait for was seeing Severus later today during the Order meeting. Severus and I have been writing each other as well, but most of it consists of potions lessons. I haven't been making any potions, just studying them and writing essays about them. "Make sure you be safe." My dad said as I we walked outside. The sky was a dark gray color and a cool breeze began to blow. The tell tail signs that a storm was brewing not far off. "I will." I replied as a cab pulled up. "Tell your friends we said hi." Mom said with a smile. "Okay." I replied. I told them I was going to stay over with a friend tonight, mostly because I didn't want them to know I was probably going to join The Order of the Phoenix. It's a secret group/organization anyway. I got into the cab and waved at my mom and dad as I took off towards 12 Grimmauld Place. Severus informed me that the muggles can't see number 12, so I left that bit out when I called for the cab. After what seemed like forever we finally stopped. I gathered my stuff and paid the cab driver before I walked the rest of the way. The street was dark and dingy, even for it being daylight. I found number 12 and knocked on the door. After a while a middle-aged man with fiery hair opened the door. "You must be Jasmine. I'm Arthur Weasley, it's nice to finally meet you." He said with a smile. "It's nice to meet you too." I replied with a smile. "Ron and the boys have been telling me all about you, come in, come in." He said kindly. "Have they?" I asked, intrigued. "All good things of course." He said with a smile. "Um, about the world cup-" I started, but he cut me off. "The Quidditch world cup takes place near the end of summer, so don't worry too much. I'll make sure to write a letter, asking your parents for permission to stay at the burrow." He said as he lead me down a very narrow hallway. The place was just as dark and dirty as the street outside. The walls were thick with cobwebs and dust, and swear I saw a few spiders as well. "Look who made it everyone, Jasmine Shacklebolt." Arthur said as we entered the kitchen. I saw professor Lupin, who smiled warmly at me. "I believe we've met before. It's nice to see you again Jasmine." Lupin said with a smile. "It's nice to see you again too professor." I replied. "Please, call me Remus." He said with a kind smile. There was a thin and slightly handsome man sitting beside of him. He had dark shaggy hair with touches of gray, and he was wearing some nice looking clothes. "Hello, I'm Sirius. Sirius Black." He said as he stood up to greet me properly. I smiled slightly and shook his hand, even though I knew he put Severus through hell. Severus ended up telling me more about his childhood, along with what happened the day Ron and Harry were put in the hospital wing. Apparently, Sirius was wrongfully accused for selling out James and Lily to the Dark Lord. It was some guy named Peter Pettigrew, who was supposed to be their friend as well. "Hi." I said with a slight smile. "This is my lovely wife, Molly." Arthur said. A plump woman with equally red hair stepped away from the stove. "Hello, dear. It's lovely to meet you; our boys and Ginny just talk and talk about you. Apparently, you've left quite an impression." She said with a friendly smile. "Thanks, I hope I have." I said with a slight laugh. "Please, have a seat. Ol' Molly is fixing us up a lovely dinner." Arthur said. "Hopefully it'll be finished by the time Dumbledore arrives; he's always the last person to show up." Remus said. I sat down, but I kept a little ways from everyone else. I had a feeling that Severus wouldn't want to be around Sirius. "So, what house were you put in? I heard from Remus you came from Ilvermorny." Sirius said. "I did, I was in Thunderbird there. I got sorted into Slytherin here." I replied. "A Slytherin, friends with Gryffindors? That's something you don't see every day." He said. For some reason I felt extremely awkward around Sirius. Maybe it's because he was one of my best friend's bullies, or the unsettling look in his eyes. "Would you like something to drink?" Molly asked me curiously. "Yes please." I said. "Is pumpkin juice alright?" She asked. "Sure." I replied. She sat a glass of pumpkin juice down next to me and took a drink when someone knocked on the door. "I'll get it." Remus said. "I'll come with you." I said as I stood up. I took my drink with me, mostly because I did trust Sirius. "How has your summer been going?" Remus asked me curiously as we walked towards the door. "Pretty good. I've been writing my friends and studying potions." I said. "That sounds good. Dumbledore mentioned that Snape was going to make you his assistant." He said. "Yeah, and I want to make him proud. I hope I can become his apprentice during my seventh year." I said. "I don't have a doubt that you will succeed. You're very smart and very talented." He replied as he opened the door. A black figured took up the doorway, and my heart leaped with joy. "Severus!" I said before I attacked him with a hug. "Jasmine." He said with a chuckle. He wrapped his arms around me, and I savored the contact. "Isn't that just adorable." Remus said, and we pulled apart. "I would appreciate it if you'd not speak a word-" Severus said, but Remus cut him off. "Your secret is safe with me. I'm just glad you've found a friend, Severus." Remus said with a smile. "Thank you Remus." Severus replied. We walked back into the kitchen and Severus sat down right next to me. "Ah, Snivellus. How inconsiderate of you to come." Sirius said, which clearly angered Severus. I put my hand underneath the table, and when mine found his I gave it a reassuring squeeze. "I'm not in the mood, Black." Severus said through gritted teeth. "Come on Snivellus, what's the matter? Are you being shy because your student is present?" Sirius asked smugly. "Sirius, that's enough." Remus said firmly. "All I want is a bit of fun. I've been locked up for twelve years, you can at least give me that." Sirius said. "Back me up here Jasmine." Sirius said. "Actually, I won't. You don't have a right to bully Severus anymore. You're an adult, and you need to grow up." I said with a slight edge to my voice. Sirius went silent after that, and knock on the door followed. "I'll go." Arthur said as he got up. "If you think he'll mature you're wrong. He never will." Severus said, using legilimency. "I know, but at least I tried." I replied. Dumbledore walked in and we ate dinner before the meeting officially started. The entire meeting was basically discussing on any developments or rumors on Voldemort. "So, do you think you'll join?" Dumbledore asked as he was about to leave. "I'm not sure, I'll have to think about it." I replied. "That's fine, just send me an owl when you've made up your mind." He said with a smile. He took off, but everyone else stayed, which made me feel better. "Hey, come up to my room with me." Severus whispered in my ear. "Why?" I whispered back. "Just, please." He said. "Fine." I said. I followed him upstairs to his room and we both sat down on the bed. "I've missed you." He said before he wrapped his arms around me. "I've missed you too." I said with a giggle. "As much as I hate to say it....I can't wait until school starts back up. I miss seeing you everyday." He said as we pulled apart slightly. "So do I." I replied. "Thanks for standing up for me by the way." He said after a few minutes of silence. "Don't mention it. It's what friends do." I said with a smile. "Will we always be friends? Even when you leave Hogwarts?" He asked like a little kid. "Always, Severus. Always." I whispered softly. "Always." He said with such warmth in his eyes. I was so lucky to have such a loyal and sweet friend.
