Abe stared at the book in his hands, it had fallen into the woman's lap when she had crashed into the bookcase. It's cover had a depiction of exactly what had happened when Hellboy and the woman had touched. The arc of electricity between two beings. One was depicted with large, whispy wings, the other had curved horns and a tail. The title was written in latin, "ut ducem Angeli et Daemones" translated to "A Guide to Angels and Demons".

Abe contemplated the woman, could she possibly be an angel? When she had fainted they had transported her to the medical room, Johann was keeping a close eye on her now.

Abe cracked the book open to the first page, translating the Latin text as he read; Angels are purely spiritual in form, they do not have a physical state. Sighting of angels are very rare, but many who have been visited by this holy celestial being have portrayed them with large feathered wings. Truthfully angels do not possess wings at all, but the human brain has filled in their memory to help them understand what they had experienced by providing the closest object to what was truly seen. An angels 'wings' are actually the spiritual existence of their angelic Grace that protrudes from their soul. This Grace is what makes them an angel and binds them to heaven and God. Abe skipped a few pages; Angels and Demons can not physically touch each other (this is mostly due to the fact that angels do not have a physical body, while demons do) but if the angel's Grace or soul comes within contact with a demons tainted soul, an arc of holy lighting will repel them from eachother. It has been theorized that if an angel should posses a human body, the two would be able to achieve physical contact. However, angels are unable to posses human bodies unless their Grace is removed.

Abe flipped through the book, a theory forming in his mind. The book contained pages of information. Summoning angels or demons, types of angels and demons and descriptions of them, uses of angels and demons, and how to tell if one was near. Abe was sure most of the things in the book were mortal sins, and he was now convinced of the identity of the woman. She was an angel that had been stripped of her Grace and placed into a human body.

Abe reached the back of the book. In the very last page there was a total that read; How to steal and Angels Grace. A large section of the page had been ripped out. At the bottom of the page some text had survived. -will enter the soulless human body. The newly born Nephilem will not have any memories nor social conduct. One will have to teach it the social norms including physical care (ex. walking, bathing, eating, clothing themselves). Speech is not needed, as Nephilem have knowledge of every language. Warning: some parts of Grace will remain attached to the soul, this will cause unusual side effects such as, weightlessness, mild healing properties, ability to see supernatural entities, and purifying tainted things. On occation, if enough Grace is still intact, the Nephilem may remember aspects of it angelic 'life' and/or will be prone to angelic surges that makes them attempt to return to heaven.

The alarm jerked Abe from his thoughts. Johann's voice sounded over his earpiece, he german accent sounded more pronouced as it was obvious he was running. "I took my eyes off her for a second and she bolted. I didn't even know she had woken. She iz heading upstairs, I think she iz trying to get to the roof. Gut, she is fast!" Abe bolted for the stairs.
