39. I'm In The Corner, Watching You Kiss Her

You're into Jack. You find him the highest order of attractive. He's always been so nice to you. So kind, so generous and so friendly. You fell for his eyes and personality when you first met him. Jack had oceanic blue eyes.. Dreamy, kind, gentle. You saw each other everywhere and would always swap smiles. He meant an awful lot to you and you'd give anything to be his. Jack however, had a girlfriend who he loved very much. Signe.
Tonight, a mutual friend was hosting a get together party; inviting everyone and their neighbours. You went to your best friends house to get ready. It felt like one of those nights to go all out. Your makeup was done professionally with perfect blended eyeshadow; 'fleeky' eyebrows and a dark red, matte lip. You had simple curls in your hair and wore a black, skinny dress. (Y/bff) had a grey dress on with similar makeup.
"Come onnnn... We want to get there before the party's over, right?" Your best friend dragged you out the door.
A short walk away, you arrived at the door of the party. Inside, music was blaring an people were cheering.
"Hey (y/n), (y/bff)!" Adam, the host, welcomed you inside. He handed you drinks as you made your way further into the house.
You saw Jack.
He stood across the lounge, with a few guys and Signe wasn't present. You felt like going over and talking to him whilst cheesy throwbacks played.
"Every time we touch, you get this kinda rush..."
As you walked, you slowed, Signe came back.
"Abort!" You yelled to you friend. Still gazing at Jack, the music carried on.
"Let me kiss you.."
Jack held Signe's waist and kissed her with strength and love.
You felt your heart drop.. Of course it wouldn't be you but, Jack knew how you felt.
He made it more obvious than he could've.
You turned to your best friend who had a sympathetic expression. They held out their arms for a comfort hug.
"It's okay.. We'll find you someone!" They whispered. You started sobbing out of jealousy and sadness a little.
"But I want Jack!!" You cried.
"Hey is everything okay?" A familiar voice you didn't want to hear asked. Jack placed a hand on your shoulder.
"I heard my name and everything, y'know.."
"I'm fine. Thanks Jack." You lied. He nodded and smiled before walking away. You hugged (y/bff) once more to feel better.
Signe was your factor of jealousy..
