Chapter 3- stage

Leia POV

My eyes opened and I squinted adjusting to the light the shined through by my bedroom window. I looked at my alarm clock 8:30, realising the time I jumped out of bed and changed into simple faded jeans and a crop top,I was meant to be at the voice at 9:00!I dashed into the bathroom
and brushed my teeth, I heard the my phone ring and ran back to my bedroom to get it, 8:35 I grabbed my guitar and my wallet and phone and shoved them into a random purse. I ran downstairs shouting at the top of my voice,
"Mum! I need a lift to the stage!"
"Sure meet me at the front door in five minutes" she replied back shouting from the kitchen. I ran to the front door and dumped my guitar next to it, and then I realised.... I bought the guitar but not the case.
Ugh stupid Leia I thought to myself. I ran upstairs and searched my room for the guitar case I finally found it and at the back of the wardrobe, I ran back downstairs and shoved the guitar in its case.
"Ready to go?" Mom asked standing at the front door.
"Yes!" I said slamming the front door behind me and running to the car. I got in the front seat next to my mom and shoved my guitar in the passengers seat. I took my earphones out and shoved it in my ears, pressing the shuffle list. After around 10 minutes my mom stopped the car and I looked out the window, there were a bunch of kids standing at the front gates, I took out my earphones and grabbed my bag along with my guitar. I opened the car door and waved at my mom.
"Have a great day honey" my mom said,
"You too" I said smiling. I closed the car door and my mom drove off. I walked towards the group of kids and stood there waiting for something to happen. I took out my phone and scrolled through Instagram checking posts, I searched up to see if Chris had Instagram and he sure did, I clicked follow and started to scroll down his feed and then I suddenly felt two hands on my shoulders, I gasped and turned around, Chris was smiling,
"Staking me ey?" He said grinning,
"You scared me !" I said gasping,
"Yeah well you weren't paying attention" he teased. I noticed he had a guitar slung over his shoulder,
"You play guitar too?" I questioned,
"Yep I didn't know you did too" he replied smiling,
"Well I do" I declared shoving my phone back into my bag. A click sounded and the front doors opened revealing many stage managers directing us to go in. All the kids started to chatter and I followed into the air conditioned stage area. We were instructed to sit down on the stage seats while waiting for judges. I plopped down on one of the seats, Chris sitting next to me. The judges came from the main stage and we all clapped and they all took a bow. The stage managers shoved us out our seats and directed us to each coach.
"I'll see you later" I said to Chris, he winked before parting ways and walking to his own coach. I walked to Mel B and there were a bunch of kids surrounding her.
"Ok is everyone here?! 1, 2, 3" she started to count all of us,
"Now let's get going!" Mel B directed us to backstage where three different rooms were, she opened to the door to one of them, inside had a few couches and a sound proof recording studio and also a sound proof glass room.
"Wow"I muttered underneath my breath.
"Yea wow" someone muttered back, I turned around and a girl stood there, she was tall and had straight black hair
"Names Madisyn " she said extending a hand,
"Leia" I replied back shaking it.

Rehearsals passed quickly and soon it was time to go home, my throat ached after a long day of singing. I walked out the front door of the main stage and was about to call my mom when I felt a tap on my shoulder,
"Hey" Chris said,
"Hi" I said back,
"You know how tomorrow we get a day off right ?" He asked,
"Yeah" I replied
"Want to go somewhere?" He asked smiling,
"Sure" I said shrugging,
"Great, give me your phone number" he said
"Why?!" I said confused,
"So we can compromise where to go tomorrow" he said
"Yea ok here" I handed my phone to him and he put in his number and contact,
"Now give me your phone" I said holding a hand out, he smirked and took his phone out I typed my name and phone number and in it, I heard a car honk and turned around, my mom was sitting in the car along with my little brother teddy,
"Oh um I got to go" I said retrieving my phone,
"I guess I'll see you tomorrow" he said
"I'll text you" he said winking before walking over to his own car. I opened the door to my car and jumped in putting my guitar down. It was a short ride home, I got all my stuff and ran up to my room. I took out my computer and checked my YouTube channel, my phone vibrated and I grabbed it off the table and looked at it,

What do you want to do tomorrow?
Leia:
Anything....
Chris:
What about the carnival?
Leia:
The annual summer one?
Chris:
Yeah :)
Leia:
Sounds good 😊
Chris:
Great will pick you up tmr at 11:30 outside your house my dad will drive us🙂
Leia:
Ok thanks will see ya tmr

Am I really going to the carnival with him? Wow Leia nice move, I smiled to myself.
